Omg the faces when they learned that fish and chips origin is Portugal 😂 now imagine if they found out that tea was brought to England by Portugal also 😂. You totally should come to Portugal ❤
I had never seen one like that before...so I had to go on Amazon and order one!!! So cool...and I rarely use lemons or limes, but it was just so cool!!!
I love how Ollie shares bits of obscure information about the food, places, and people they encounter during their travels. I also find Josh’s open mindedness about their experiences and his sheer sense of wonder at discovering new things to be endearing. It’s so refreshing in this negative world to see these friends sharing fun and interesting little adventures. Watching these videos really makes my day.
Josh is so mindful. "This is what I am doing now and I am going to engage it with all of my senses." The patter sometimes seems a bit distracting to him.
I keep forgetting that watching a Jolly video should be treated as going to a grocery store - you can never go into either with an empty stomach because you'll just wanna eat everything. BRB just gonna make some food
Fun fact. The chef is a danish man who also used to cook in Greenland. So it really is fusion on top of fusion on top of fusion! Anyway have a wonderfull day.
I love you, Ollie. Your quick-witted, diverse, odd sense of humor is unparalleled. Seeing you endlessly catching Josh and others off guard with your comments and watching their reactions brings me so much joy.
Portuguese food is one of my favourite things to eat. With both my parents being Portuguese, I absolutely love it when they cook Bacalhau or bring home Pastel De Nata. You can't go wrong
JOLLY absolutely deilvers! the increase of exposure that backstage staffs like Ducky, Adam, Grace and especially Luke has been enjoying in recent regular JOLLY videos is just. 👏👏
Yeah I really like seeing the camera crew as well and interaction with them (whisper to Viellegardevielle....that's Rosemary, Grace rarely travels with them) 😁
Ollie personifies schmoozing! He's a great gabber (as his history lessons illustrate) and just generally elevates the English language to its upmost. Thank Yiddish for providing such an ideal term for this lingual art!
Actually the pineapple story is true. There was a documentary on the history of food, pineapple, and gardens. Can’t remember what it was called but it was fascinating. And several of the science facts are true too. Like the explosions. Coffee creamer is notorious for it. So is flour.
i don't buy the biggest explosion during ww2 bit. i think that's just typical european mentality to only think of the european theater of war as the only theater

As soon as I saw your Macau series I was hoping for a Maccanese food video! I got to try it once in Toronto years ago and would love to do it again. 🇵🇹🇨🇦
As an American who is an Anglophile, I can't get enough of Josh and Ollie. This is my daily morning (6AM - Noon) of "Everything is right with the world." zen that is so desperately needed in life.
i think it's the first time ever i hear Ollie calling josh by his actual name ''Joshua'' xD And omg it's incredible the amount of weird random facts Ollie knows. This guy is a genius in disguise.
I am from a town where it is a symbol of hospitality. When sailors returned home from the sea, they brought them back with them from the tropics. They were no longer good to eat, but the family would put them out on the fence post, as a sign to the neighbors that the son had returned and they could come calling.
8:59 we have “Kue Lumpur” in Indonesia that’s made from potato or pumpkin. But the cakes is topped with a single raisin. When I ate it I just removed it, I don’t like raisin too.😂
I keep hoping there will be a holiday at home this year. I started watching Jolly during the pandemic, and the craziness that happened at their homes was the best of this channel. Hope to get a holiday surprise!
Primary school science teacher... So that is why he spoke of food fusion and food fission.. :D Ohh Ollie, may you never change. Ohh, btw. You should visit us in Sweden sometime and try our regional food here (Especially Surströmming, just to see the look on Ollies face)
She's no doubt a Filipina. And as a Filipino even just hearing her voice and the brand of hospitality she showed to them, I can definitely tell she's from the Philippines.
This entire series on Macao has been so fun and delicious to watch. The Ollie history lessons are fantastic! I also appreciate Adam’s mind pluck on the fish n’ chips fact, talk about mic drop 😂 🥔🍟
I love your videos. You bring humor and fun to them. You don't get too serious. I'm American but I spent nine years in the U.K., in Wales and Cornwall. I love your country. I love sightseeing London. Keep up the videos.

Yeah but it came to Portugal from China
@@ansalsa794are you talking about the tea? It may have originated in China, but the Portuguese Queen Catherine of Braganza, brought tea to the UK.

I love how Josh is so amazed by the smallest of things ... "it's a lemon squeezer!". Daily reminder that to find joy in the smallest of places haha :D
tbf that is so new to me too HAHAH you usually see the giant lemon squeezer
That thing was awesome
Seen that in basically every fish restaurant and schnitzel place.

I would absolutely watch that! 😂 history lessons with Jolly sounds amazing
