- Ok maybe I over-hyped it a bit, but my god. The Hero's Sword is insane for anything. The synergy it has with items and builds cannot be overestimated. You can quite literally fit this thing on any setup, any weapon, any armor. Hands down my favorite melee weapon now.
Also, yeah so instead of cranking out 4 builds per vid, I wanted to do theme vids so they're easier to find. So obviously this one is all about Hero's Sword, the next one will be all about mod focus, etc etc. Let me know if that sounds better than just tossing 4 builds randomly at a time.

I'm so damn proud. Now I'll put it out now that it was on normal mode, so it might not be the most impressive. I unlocked the sword on my main and then made a new character. I used the white rose ring adding 50% dmg with no firearms. I beat the main story with only shooting a single time to open the cage for the founder. No firearms, no mods and it was so damn fun. Ravager was the hardest boss, by far, but only because I lucked out and didn't get the seeker fire star thing. Nightmare boss was a surprising breeze
I use Hero's sword + Leto's armor + Terror Margin + Alchemist's jewel + Razorstone. Bleed heals you and lower your hp the higher the dmg resistance and bigger the life steal. Easy full melee Apocalyps. Only down side is it needs a lot of trait points and the appropriate traits but after that it's broken af.

So i did the whole dlc on Apocalypse first time around because i didn't wanna burn through it. I use hunter set for level clears and Slayer for boss with sniper hotshot and dual crossbow with corrosive guard mod. I was hitting the last boss for 6.5k crits.

I was going for the same build but with a that fire bomb mod and corrosive aura mod on weapons with the elemental damage amulet for extra bleed, corrosive, and fire dmg.

sword also pairs well with warlord set if you want to use the vampire build with it.
Its viable on apocalypse and also fun to use there.

Hey Phem. Any chance you could make a build video on the new hardcore amulets? Onyx pendant and vertebra shackle or something. They seem interesting and I want to see what you use them to their fullest potential

I keep drifting towards a stealthy sniper set for overworld but it really hurts on bosses and now the From Hell mod with all its constant spawning changes.
Any recommendations on how to make that work?

how do u get 1000 gf for the sword? sometimes survival doesn’t even give me anything and i die like after the second boss
This game is damn frustrating solo i got the spear out of one of the bosses backs but died then I killed him so have to roll again I am maybe wasting time as it could be shit anyway heres hoping I can find the right video similar to this that points me in the right path

Nobody uses Slayer for bossing anymore. Warlord bleed build is the boss killer right now, insane dmg and you can't die. I would say Slayer is still best for mobbing, especially with the Ricochet.
Yeah warlord damage bonus is crazy I just don't expect most Normies to be using it. But I'll cover it when I get the thr bleed builds vid
@@Phemeto I just wished they added loadouts. Having to switch sets piece by piece before bosses is a hassle.
Dude I know. It sucks scrolling through 50 rings... or at least a favorites system so you can star items to see em quickly
I'm a bit late to the party, but you kicked around World's Edge a bit too harshly. You forget it has much better crowd control then hero's sword, still staggers almost as good as hero's sword (at least on smaller sized enemies), and can wallhack. Pair this with abrasive amulet or razorstone, you can make builds almost as fearsome as hero's sword.
does rapid strike increase the speed of charging melee attacks?
I got a question. I got 150 glowing fragments and Rigs (shop where you upgrade), can I craft the Hero's sword (which needs 200) without buying the DLC? Cuz I got it free from Epic Games and AFAIK, I was able to get some DLC contents from swamps of corsus like the Butcher's flail and labyrinth armor without buying the DLC. Except from the Subject 2923, can't access that unless I join the host with him/her playing the DLC. Sorry if this is long, just curious because I really want to get the hero's sword as well (It makes me feel like playing Zelda games). Thanks
I own the dlc; it cost me 100 fragments for the sword.

i like how every video i see its people dodging all over the place and using all these fancy abilities im at 999 trait rank and i literally sit in front of a boss heal and dps weapons i use vary but i usually run letos armor with 85 resistance on everything except bleed that sits at 55 .-. but thats just me im too lazy to dodge

Umm, excuse me but did Hero's sword melee damage got nerfed, as right now on ps4 it's 5 base melee dmg (the projectile still does fine damage though)?
they already nerf those mobs on nm/apo mode. As long as you survived you can use heart. no challenge anymore even using the ring of admiral

you can buy it after killing 10 Survival bosses in one run i believe
@@Donnovo actually I checked people's claims and they're true, he "sells" it for 100 glowing fragments under the crafting tab.

Nothing
Glowing fragments in increasing amounts from hard to apocapylse. These can be used to purchase armor cosmetic skins.
