One correction, the Vijayanta isn't in service anymore. The upgraded versions of the tank were retired in the 80s/90s, but the hulls were retained and modified to carry 130mm and 155mm howitzers, those versions were called the M-46 Catapult. The last M-46s were retired in early 2021.
If the hull is still used by the army, it is still classed as in service. Similar to how the centurion hull was still in use in the British army till 2003 as a repair tank

Finally, Poland decided to replace the T72M1 with Leopard 2A4, so they refurbished the T72M1 into PT91M for export purposes. Malaysia quickly grab 48 of the refurbished PT91M. Now the PT91M still form the country's armoured spearhead despite it‘s reliability issues.

The MK 7/2’s downfall came before the British government’s decision to acquire challenger 2 MBT’s, the real downfall of the mk7 was when vickers took it on a middle eastern tour and showed the vehicle off to potential customers that Germany wasn’t friendly with. As a result of this and west Germany operating their NATO me,her requirement for defence exports the German government recalled the leopard 2 hull leaving bickers with only their turret, nobody seemed that interested in the mk7 and the British government were just looking at replacing challenger so vickers moved onto their next tank, challenger 2 that was designed from the get go to be available as an export vehicle and admirable at that however the lack of modularity, an outdated weapon system and Germany dropping their NATO member requirement doomed challenger 2 as an export vehicle with only less than 50 vehicles being bought by Oman. It then later doomed vickers as a company. Would be nice to see two of vickers last export vehicles added though challenger 2 Oman and challenger 2e.

out off all my line ups for the british tech tree, each of them are made and supported by vickers model tanks, (well the BR'S i enjoy that is) vickers tank often give much needed mobility at teirs, 7.7-8.0, and a flexible sudo heavy / medium tank at BR's 2.3-3.3 in the valentines, and from what ive seen the MK-7 and the VFM are also welcomed additions to the tree and its line up

Bruce does over do it. His attempts at Japanese is guttural, as is most other foreign languages when he tries to copy their accents. Japanese don't do guttural. They have 48 precise sounds based on their syllabary that I am sure he is capable of reproducing if he was introduced to it. The same could probably be said about the other languages that he mimics. This is not a put down, just an observation. At least Gaijin didn't go the way of the hot Slavic female in the sailor suite with no voice acting skills at all, like some other company.

Most likely due to British tank doctrine, challengers are all pretty much defensive and slow, where as the vickers series of tanks are fast and good for flanking with little armour it just didn't fit the doctrine

There are a number of Vickers tanks that would be nice to see, for example some of the Mediums, but I think they'd probably fit better as low tier event rewards or celebratory vehicles as they'd likely be sub-Br 1.0 in quality. The 6 ton would be very similar to the reserve T-26, but possibly lack the decent Russian APHE that that vehicle gets.

No, I am really surprised they lasted as long as they did. They weren't even effective in war time, when basically they needed every tank they could get. Thank goodness they really weren't ever called up on again, because cold war fizzled out. Otherwise it would have been a waste of resources, much like their development in the first place. Looks like each time there were superior options. Pretty cool having them in war thunder though!

Question about Warthunder for console players, is there no switch active sensore button for console players? @@themooch8752 bigger round mass makes all the differences. mk1 can pen 303mm at best condition but cant pen t10a front due to light weight while mk3 can easily go though it like needle vs meat as its sabot round mass is half a kilo heavier
