For a flight that long it all comes down to seat comfort, yet you spent about 10 seconds saying it was as mediocre as every other airline. How about seat pitch, width and recline? Every airline and aircraft type is different. Use your camera to show how much room between your knees and the seat in front of you? How hard or easy is it to bend down and pickup something under the seat in front? How much more is an economy plus seat and is it worth it? You should focus more on what actually matters.
I once flew United in coach Seattle-Tokyo-Hong Kong-Chicago, The best flight was Tokyo-Hong Kong but the crew was Singapore based. Very polished service and really good. I've got an upcoming trip on United from Chicago-Palm Springs in coach. I looked today and the price for a First Class upgrade was $350.00 one way so I will probably be staying in coach.
Best thing to do when flying long haul is to sleep through most of it so that you dont feel the fatigue and possible discomfort of having to sit for so long. My go to is to get high before a flight or melatonin. Im out cold for at least half the flight. That and aisle seat because im over 6 foot is the magic solution everytime i need to go to europe from the US
One thing I like about United, compared to foreign airlines is that they allow free seat selection for economy ticket. That made my decision to fly United to Melbourne.
@@redesignedlife777 I replied 2 times but it vanished. When you buy your economy ticket on that airline you are allowed to select a seat for free at booking.
I love travel, even if it is long and in economy! Just being there makes me happy lol, it reminds me of when I go to see my family in Brasil! I also go with the 787-10
Thanks for this helpful video. I agree with you that economy long haul isn't great but to me it's just one day & the most important thing is to arrive safely at your destination. I flew United economy last year Sydney to London via San Francisco return & overall it was pretty good. The cabin crew were helpful & professional, the food was ok & entertainment system was good. I will definitely fly with them again. I know many won't agree with me but I don't expect or want restaurant standards or super reclining seats - it's better for me to have more spending money on my holiday.
@@kikodiamsay3138 Terrible on United. Their long haul fleet has 31 to 32" legroom. The biggest sin is the super rock hard seat back and seat cushion they chose to reduce weight.

I'm taking UAL to Japan n June. SFO-HND. Flying economy for 11 hours. It's not bad though, since I always fly economy when I go overseas.
