The bathroom is actually business cabin and technically you’re not supposed to with the curtains pulled but United has said you can use whatever bathrooms you want.
We booked steerage on United, so we'll be flying with our checked bags in the belly of an aging DC10 😂. Seriously, we looked at the $ difference between United Economy and Economy Plus between NYC and Zurich, and the extra $400 didn't seem worth it. Looking forward to 🇨🇭.
Book whatever is cheaper delta premium select, American premium economy or United premium plus. I've flown as 3 from LAX and they're about the same. Delt has limited recline but better food, American is the cheapest but food is mehh, united is the most expensive.
Oh amazing my daughter will be 15 months when we fly on premium plus. Wasn’t sure if i should consider the bassinet option there as they said it was avail at the bulkhead. Thank you for sharing!
@@alycasas5611 I've flown with a bassinet on united, and even at 8 months it was already quite small. They have a 22 lb weight limit so I think at 14 months you'll likely be over the limit, and if not I think it will be very small
Looks like you guys are in the last row of the premium economy. With the wall there, was there limited reclining? (We selected the same row but wondering if we should change it to the row in front of us 😅)
Do these seats actually recline more than like 1.5 inches? As a skinny, average height person I could care less about the extra leg room or width of the seat. I felt SO ripped off buying premium economy and never will again.
What united doesn’t tell you when they say free alcoholic beverages in premium plus is you don’t get the frequent service of Polaris. You only get drinks when the attendants serve entire economy area, which is about 3x. So don’t expect flowing service and glassware like you get in Polaris. It’s plastic cups. Wish united would increase benefits of premium plus I was very unimpressed.
Whenever I needed a drink I hit the call button and got service. Now maybe she spit in my drink each time but I still was able to get more. But yeah, it’s less business class lite, and more of an Extra Economy. Same thing on Delta.
@@vinhsanity A ticket I just booked (3-leg TransPac) was 80% more than Economy but 1/5 of Business, so “Premium Economy” seems to be accurate. I don’t think they’re selling it as almost-Business.
We flew to Italy last year in September and flew Lufthansa we flew business class it was our first time and it was amazing but looking at alternatives for next year. Most importantly for us on the next trip we want to be comfortable and of coarse to save some money seeing we plan to be there 2 weeks instead of 10 days we took first. Thank you for the video. Very useful
Those of us who pay the extra for Premium Plus hate when people bring babies in that cabin. I have kids but would not bring a lap kid there out of courtesy.
Breaking my promise I've made to myself a month ago to maintain peace (a low profile) I thought I'd ask this one question of curiosity... Lex, are you of mixed race? Is there a bit of Italian in you? I myself (USA-born) am of multiple nationalities: French, German, Native-American and African. I am a person of the world 🤔

I just upgraded my seat to this for a 14 hour flight. Excited
One would expect to see the reclined position. The most important thing
of all.
Yep, skipped RIGHT to the seats and of course didnt show the recline 🤬
Those seats remind me of the business class seats that United used to have on widebody aircraft 20 years ago before the days of lie-flat seats.
The bathroom is actually business cabin and technically you’re not supposed to with the curtains pulled but United has said you can use whatever bathrooms you want.
Do the seats in the back recline fully?
How does 2-2-2 equate to everyone having aisle access?

We booked our first seats in this area. We're going to Hawaii and it's over 8 hr. Flight. Do you get to keep the blanket or no

How old was your daughter when you flew this? I have a 14 month old and upgrading going there but considering the upgrade going back
She was literally 14 months old when we flew it! Just did the math

ahhh thank you!! @@TheTravelingSwiss So glad I found your channel. Happy Travels :)

Nope! Went all the way back, there was plenty of space behind the seat and the wall
Thank you. Nice job. Hope you had a good visit with the family.
Would have been nice to showcase how far the seats recline
What a great way to travel Alexis and Louis. That is awesome. We love traveling on Premium or First. LIKE 50.👍👍👍
The only thing you needed to show was the recline 😭

Flawless review. Thank you!!
Overall nice job, except window seats in a 2-2-2 don’t have direct aisle access.
Omg duh!!!! I guess because I sat in the window with Louis next to me it felt like an aisle anyway 😅 thank you for calling that out
hello guys.. love the new content approach.
Great video, well edited and fun. Thank you.
Brilliant review thank you.
Very ONPOINT! No nonsense video
Thanks for this!

@@vinhsanity😂😂😂😂😂 the liquor killed the germs
I did the premium plus cabin and no saks avenue bedding, no noise cancelling headphones, no amenity kit :/ I left from Houston.

With 2-2-2 not everybody has aisle access (1:20)
Yup, I caught that.
So what? If you fly as a couple, are you afraid to ask your partner to move while you get out and into the aisle? Crazy.
Yes it was helpful! Thanks
Seems like great bang for your buck
by Premium Plus do you mean Premium Economy? Because there is no "Premium Plus" when looking up flights.
Premium plus is United’s nomenclature for premium economy, yes - similar to how they refer to their business class cabin as polaris
@@TheTravelingSwiss aah ha! 👍🏻
@@IcyTorment this has already been answered. And yes, I see United lists things differently

We showed all of the food we had onboard starting at 2:29
