Really having a writing desk in the common area would be a great idea. You could sell postcards and people could write a short postcard when they’re traveling and have a mail drop right there that goes out every day. Something extra to offer your guess And make money on the postcards.

That French provincial dresser with the mirror was the exact same dresser my sister and I got back in 1968 and my sister still has it in her daughters bedroom who has long moved out and she had it refinished once.

Now that you have had to rip down wood paneling you will understand how ridiculous it is that paneled walls are working their way back into style. No! Poison! Lauren, the little side table is “ cute” but appears to be too small & too short for use as a bathroom vanity. Where will your guests set their toiletries? You plan to use a claw foot tub which is vintage style and then you are putting in a bowl on top of a table which is very trendy and on it’s way out. Consider an Old-fashioned square or rectangular porcelain sink that hangs on the wall that is in keeping with the vintage tub. Love your videos! Love including your mom!

I have always wanted to fly (1 way) to Pennsylvania or Ohio Amish country and tour antique shops, Thrift stores etc. Then rent a van to haul all my treasures back home 🤣.

The old market!! Best part of Omaha!! I lived in Millard for about a yr the Omaha area has great thrift shops perfect for the flipper!! I’m in Sioux Falls, SD now and still come back to go thrifting! And was even a vendor at Junkstock one yr!!

The roof color recommended is what I have with black gutters. White shows too much dirt as time goes by. I hope you don't use canned or pot lights in the ceilings since it is such a trend right now. Totally fun video too.
Canned lights in the ceiling are not a trend, they've been around since the 1960's. Thanks fully now they are smaller and with LED's they last longer and they don't generate heat the way the older, larger bulbs did. They are great used with dimmers at the switch to add directed lighting to the areas you want to feature.
I hope you are going to put some of your handmade pieces in the Airb&b. That way you came reach a wider audience for your items. I hope you are going to shop at goodwill for some of the pieces you need. Some of the prices seem high. I love the cat, you should have gotten that white chair it was lovely. That wooden dresser was stunning, I agree an easy $2,000 on Esty. OH WOW those ugly dolls, I think they are called "cupies" (there were very popular when I was a growing up).
I agree humans have too much junk, just helped a friend clean out her 91 yr old aunts house, can't tell you how much trash, donations , recycled paper, cardboard and trash we got rid of, it was just crazy.
great job, that worked out much easier than if it had been wallpaper. I hate wallpaper, had to get it out of the second house I lived in and it was a mess.
I would have bought that dresser that said PAINT ME on it...that was soooooo right up your alley and would be perfect in the Air B&B. $40 bucks ...a steal for solid wood and it will last forever.

My thing is small tables..like for beside beds and chairs. Every time I see a cute small table I want to buy it. I do not like traditional end tables and bedside sets. They seem to bulky to me. I know a little weird..but I think of it as just different 😆.
Looks like it was a office area for who built the house. You should of done moving a book shelf hidden door / mirror on back maybe. This would give you a fire escape .
That picker place was way to overwhelming in the amount of stuff it had! There is some cool furniture but let them store it until you are ready for it.!

I love to going to estate sales but they definitely seem to be high in price. You need to go on the last day when they’re desperate and they just want to get rid of it. you do take the chance of not finding something but it’s hard to find good deals.

That's exactly what I was thinking. It's very small & short. Even with a vessel sink, I think it's still too short to work.
Pretty sure it is too low and also not much room to lay out toiletries. Nice table but likely wrong proportions for a vanity.

The vanity is super pretty but doesn't look big/sturdy enough to hold a bowl sink. Finding a bowl that small might be an issue. Fingers crossed!
