Even the happy ending (Jon & Dany get the throne) is a whole lot better than the current ending. The good thing is that it will make more sense than being turned to a Mad Queen and stabbed by Jon. They want a ending that most of them can't predict, so they didn't look the past how the show came forward. They just a put a stupid ending that came out of nowhere. Even the happy endings would have saved the show 😒

@@Fassnight Yeah, I know but George have specific reasons and will have explanations for everything he do. They put George's ending but they lack the explanations or points for that particular ending in the previous seasons as well as in Season 8. So it looked like something that the writers didn't intended to do as first like the reporter asked here "is it known from the start that night king will be killed by Arya"😌

D&D are such cowards they can't even answer the last question and they make their actors answer for them (they also made Alfie Alan answer the Arya question).

If a person is proud of his work and really knows he's done its best and put all heart into it, they would have no trouble to defend it despite everyone's opinion. blueberry smasher I feel bad for Kit. He obviously did not feel great about this season even in pre-season interviews, and won’t even watch it. He had a stint in rehab after emotional exhaustion. But heaven knows he did what he had to do for the show, and I don’t think it was the controversy that was hard on the actors (although some spoke out about it). It was the show itself, and how it was written out after so many epic years. Watch the final table read. The actors deserve all credit.
@@kissedbyfirewyrms7312 He was emotional during the table read, as were many others. But Kit admitted and revealed his mental struggles publicly, which is praiseworthy given the stigma and potential backlash from landing new gigs.
I won’t call it controversy, more like an overwhelming majority think that the last season was very bad.

@@ssotkow I should remind you that the Emmys are given to a single episode, the one that the networks submit to contest. Also the best actor Emmy is for the performance in a single episode.They are not giving it for the whole season. For all the production values of the show, their Emmys are well deserved, however the writing was not on par to the rest of the production this season.
I feel like D&D handled this pretty immaturely and kinda dodged any question that mentioned the eighth season.

How tough it is to be in Kit’s position answering that question! He’s been true somehow by saying he hasn’t watch the final season! He knows it sucked!!!
That Kit Harrington speech at the end was pure proof that he belongs in the MCU as an actor (he's in the Eternals). He loves the fans and he knows how to talk to them, and knows how to answer questions like that, where others brush it off and don't know how, he steps up to the plate with nothing but respect to the question and everyone involved.
How Kit Harington could say the controversy over the end didn't affect them is just very disappointing. 'We worked hard so the fans can go to hell.' What a dumb reaction.

It truly was, and you know it did affect the actors, and made them feel bad. They really did work their butts off to give us that last season, and though it was short, and the writers did screw us, the actors did absolutely nothing wrong, and were fantastic.

I thought his answer didn’t sound genuine at all to be honest lol!!! Almost like it was forced. I watched the behind the scenes documentary and they definitely did put a lot of hard work into it. But that is besides the point that so many of the characters had bad endings.
@@cookiesncream789 what I got from it was kind of a "here we go again with this question, let me put it to rest" response. they're probably all tired of being asked about, and instead of focusing on the negativity, he just wants to focus on all the good, hard work he and all the cast and crew put into the season, regardless of writing.

I think he just wanted to end this press conference without even more controversy and hatred. The damage had already been done, and he just chose to focus on the positive things about the last season instead of the negative.
Love or hate the ending, I still loved watching GOT, congratulations everyone for making a wonderful tv series!

I agree. Really, I love Jon Snow. I was thrilled when he was chosen as King. I thought he would fulfill his destiny to win the War for the Dawn part II, or the Great War... But not only that. Most of what they made him do after, during and after that was too damn disappointing to say the least and contradicted most of what Jon stood for.

D & D they really didn´t want to answer any question
They all giggle about this and honestly it feels pretty frustrating because I honestly waited to hear a proper response from D&D who completely disappeared, the fans deserved it. It’s so disrespectful towards the fans who devoted their time and money, and without that Sophie and Kit wouldn’t had made it so big as they did, so them standing there being so arrogant the moment the question comes up, is disgusting. let the writers who everyone waited for their answer for months now to just answer. There was a lot of controversy about the final season and it doesn’t matter how much they gonna try to dodge it. People cared enough to be invested and upset about it, they don’t deserve to just take this award and disappear again. Extremely disappointing how they handle this. I enjoyed the first seasons but now I will probably avoid even rewatching just because of the writers and a bunch of the cast member’s attitude after the final season. So much disrespect to the viewers who payed the subscription for years and made them rich and famous with the views, and honestly it’s pretty disrespectful towards G.R.R Martin who should had held these awards himself for making the story exist and be praised for bringing it all. I was a huge fan but I will stick with the books now and won’t recommend the show anymore after watching this. Disappointing.

Maybe it’s what happens when you’re on a show that is so big, but I feel like the actors were incredibly arrogant in the way they responded to these reporters? They’re just excited to ask all the questions... It was hard to watch. Alfie especially.. cringe.

I think Kits problem, not watching the finale, was the fact that Jon had to kill Dany , hence , JON killing Emilia. Being the Best of Friends for real, that would cause a lot of hurt. Think about it ????? Also remember he said when they had the table read, he cried. Seems to be a very sensitive guy. I like that. I also liked the show, but I've only seen 4 seasons the first two and the last two. Started watching the show on season 6 just to the end and a few friends said I should watch it from the beginning, hence season 1 and 2. Bought the whole series which I will watch over time. And I wasn't happy about the ending either

I mean how dare the person who was almost having a glee-orgasm when Khal Drogo was yelling about raping & murdering the people of Westeros in season 1, the same person who in every season expressed his disdain for the Baratheon-Lannister-Stark allaince that overthrew her father, the same person who in season 2 said her dragons will one day burn great armies to the ground, the same person who's literal endgame vision we saw in the last episode of Season 2, the same person who went around the cities of Essos massacring, crucifying, burning, feeding to dragons, the noblemen, the same person who burned to a crisp the Tarlys after theybhad surrendered, who kept telljng us how her ONLY purpose in life was to capture the throne etc etc.;.....I mean how dare that person actually follow through with where her character was ALWAYS headed, and not fulfil the wishes of the fanfic shipperdom buly turning into some one-dimensional goodie-two-shoss Cinderella princess who selflessly gives up her throne to a long lost cousin, and raule happily ever after in a sappy tearjerking Disney ending. "But oh she was killing bad people"....Well did you hear Tyrion's explanation to Jon? It's almost like those terrible writers anticipated your point. The single-minded purpose & zeal of revolutionaries often turn them into the same tyrants they fought all their life to overthrow because ruling is very diferent from trying to overthrow a ruler. This is a fairly common historical trope. Dany never "turned mad suddenly", in her mind she was convinced she was doing the right thing till the very end, that was the biggest tragedy of them all. I mean how dare she actually succumb to her always evident ruthless ambition? Shoulda just gave Jon a couple cute Targ babies & called it a day. Who needa to portray a non-romanticized, non-desensitized, version of war & hammer in the shows focal point : that there are no good wars and good rulers, when you can just have a beautiful Jonerys wedding.

Kit, the other actors and HBO may stand behind season 8 but it was chit. The fault is due to D & D ONLY. I know Kit and the other actors have to be seem standing up for their show creators and such. But, if they keep chitting on their audience and fans they will find themselves out of work anyway because we will simply stop buying their work. This is already starting to happen. The movie Gemini Man performed poorly at the box office. My friends and I are usually first in line for any Will Smith movie. But, because David Benioff was involved... no way were we going to spend any money to see the film.

Uncreative, unimaginative spoiled brat fanbase who were expecting some type of a Disney Y/A fanfic romcom meets superhero Marvel Comics Avengers "good guy bad guy" cliche sappy happy ending they're so conditioned to by garbage-TV and couldn't stomach the GRRM style bittersweet Shakesperean tragedy that they got. These mindless Disney/Y-A shippers wanted to see Jon & Dany ruling happily-ever-after with little Targ-Stark children running around the throne room (YUCK..YUCK..YUCK) & and that's all what all this resentment boils down too. I mean who needs a Macbethean tragedy when you can have a Jonerys wedding, riding off to the sunset forever. Idiotic melodramatic reddit theories like Arya will wear Jamie's face to kill Cersei (even typing that shit sounds stupid) or that a danny will die in childbirth (what in the Disney....LMAO). These people clearly did not read a page to know that all of that fulfilling, heroic stuff is far from GRRM's style (yeah he didn't write this script, but he co-signed it wholeheartedly). Pretty much every character got exactly what they deserved. Dany's ruthless ambition & her revolutionary zealotry was ALWAYS meant to be her undoing. Jon was always a free-folk at heart, the King of the True North. Cersei's death was so poignant, her being crushed under the rubble of her lost empire that was to last a thousand years as the Kingslayer did his last act of sacrifice by becoming the Queen Protector. Yeah, the Valonqor happened just not the way you thought, you were never getting some Marvel Comics villian death for her. And GRRM specifically wanted Bran to be the King...understand this. The books started with Bran the storyteller, the very first chapter, it was going to end with Bran. Go write a White House petition (lolz) on that you spoiled babies.
