  • These are my favorite sauces for quick Chinese style noodles! You only need to cook your noodles and the rest is whisked togehter without a stove! They aren't traditional recipes, but sometimes I want something as close as it can get and ready in 5 minutes.
    1. Spicy Sesame Garlic Sauce
    2. Cheater's "Biang Biang" Noodle Sauce
    3. Chong Qing Style Noodle Sauce

@@sissichen you should trademark it and sell it. I don't think there's ready made noodle sauces. This is a great alternative to instant noodles.

So far I made the spicy garlic sesame sauce. It was very good. Next batch will have more garlic. I used homemade chili oil. May try laoganma next batch. I am looking forward to preparing the other two sauces. If they are as good as the sesame sauce, I may start pushing a noodle cart around town.

Dear Sissi, great sauces! I have tried them and I am thrilled! A few days ago, a great noodle recipe of yours appeared in "Die Zeit online". One ingredient is gochujang. The recipe says that Gochujang is made of rice, soybeans and chili (etc.). However, I can only find gochujang with red pepper instead of chili in the stores in my city and on the internet. Is that a relevant difference? Or is it comparable? Thank you very much for an answer! 🙂

    • @sissichen

hey there, it's the same :) the red pepper flakes in the gochujang is a type of very mild chili
