Well, Said, My Sistah Well Said, A lot of people only do it for Trend and it drives me nuts. However, I love the journey I have been on so far. I didn't wear wigs nor braids I went through the stages of all of my loc's and I can truly say I am very proud of myself and learning the culture and how rich we are as a colored woman can embrace our natural beauty not just with loc's but with Afro's, and other natural hair styles that claims our radiant beauty. I love it.
Please don’t take this negatively! I forgot why I was subscribed to your channel so I clicked on this video (even though I don’t have locs) and I now remember. You stutter just like me and I genuinely love your vibe 🥺❤️ Keep up the good work
Update: Girl, “Stuttering as a Health Care Professional” 👏🏾 as a sonography student going into my clinical phase in two months I’m actually scared. Thank you so much for doing what you do. After I study for my SPI Exam I’m about to binge all of your videos ❤️✨
Awwww thank you! I don’t do a lot of stuttering videos anymore because there’s not much to talk about but I do have a lot of stuttering videos on my channel .
Awww congratulations to you!! And don’t be scared , just focus on your exam. Whatever job that is for you out there will come , don’t give up and you got this! ❤️🙏🏾
I love your videos and their very educational for those of us that roc locs. I did start locs for the length lol. But I also started it,because I wanted to go back to my God given hair. I came to a point in my life and found out, I was destroying my hair with perm, hot combs etc. Keep up the good work , I really do appreciate you. 5 years with locs, and it's the best thing I ever did for my hair. Following your channel all the way from the Bahamas . Blessings.
I like this video. All points very valuable. I'm 2 months in and I've started with my hair in shoulder length. My mum hates it but she hates everything I do new to my hair. I don't know if mine are forever but I'm loving it.
I subbed recently wanted to say you're beautiful ❤ I had been wanting to loc for bout 3 years the only thing that held me back was the wigs. I'm happy I was able to let that go. Feel so free now.
About 4.5 years in on my loc journey and I agree with all of these!! Especially the one about frizziness and switching your hair a lot. I have very thick hair and my retwists only look fresh for about a week. Thankfully that has never bothered me. Also, you can probably still get away with certain styles but as your locs mature it’s going to be hard to put on wigs if you’re into that. I’ve loved the whole journey even when I had my fuzzy baby locs, now they’re long and mature and I’m surprised that I actually miss my baby locs sometimes lol. This is truly a journey and you had to be able to embrace and enjoy each stage
Loved the video, it was very informative since I have been considering locs. You and your locs are beautiful. I am conflicted as to whether I want sister locs or regular locs and if I should start with 2 strand twist or coils. Once I've decided to commit I plan on visiting a loctition for a consultation.
I originally wanted sister locs but I knew I didn’t want to pay to have someone maintain them and I didn’t want to do all that myself so I just settled with pencil size locs another option especially if you plan on maintaining yourself are microlocs
Yesss I totally agree. That’s what I wanted to at first, sister locks but I feel like when it’s time for maintenance I don’t think I would have the patience for it 😅
I’ve been loc’d for 3 1/2 years and you are dead on about the frizziness and the variety of different hair styles. As my hair got longer and thicker it’s more difficult to wear different wigs and weaves. They just feel so uncomfortable
Your locs are so gorgeous 🥰 I have had my hair loc’d for 6 months now and love my hair. There are days my hair looks so frizzy but learning to go with the flow and just embrace the journey. Thank you for you great videos.
Africa best braid sheen spray really helps with the frizz and keeping them moist and smelling good ❤️ it gives it shine and makes it easy to manage in between retwist 🥰🥰🥰 I have 4c hair and my hair is beautiful long and healthy I’ve been locd for 3 years now and mines just got to where your hair is
You are so gorgeous! I love that you’re not only a fellow RUclipsr…you’re a nurse as well. We share a couple of passions. Thank you for this video. You have a follower for life out of me🤍🏹👏🏾✨
Beautiful and stunning- you and your locs. I just put a black rinse in my hair and I love it. What do you use in your edges? Does it get lodged in the new growth?
The frizz drives me nuts!!! Some days I wake up and wish I could wear a head wrap to work. Most days I am in love with my progress.it’s a journey for sure.
Hello love your locs just watch your video I still want to get locs but wondering can my thin hair take it I have no thyroids in my body that’s what make s my hair and nails so thin but I take biotin vitamins from my Dr is it still good to try locs I no in beginning it’s gonna be short I’m fine with that I’m just tired of wearing wigs taking out my hair and edges trying to get it to growing I want to ditch the wigs my hair looks like it’s already loc cause I don’t do nothing but keep wigs on it help
Hi, thanks for sharing... I can only say you’ll never know until you try it . I don’t know your hair, you know it best so you can try it and see how it goes .
Look into Curly Proverbs. She's on RUclips and she does ayurveda treatment and her hair has grown. I too, have a bit spacey scalp so I've been doing her treatments and my hair has improved a lot. I have decided to get locs.

@@Chynax_M how did you start your locs?
I can't imagine you on sister locs. I think I love the thickness of your locs than being on sisterlocs
I started with comb coils lol
I’ve been loc’d for 3 1/2 years and you are dead on about the frizziness and the variety of different hair styles. As my hair got longer and thicker it’s more difficult to wear different wigs and weaves. They just feel so uncomfortable
Ohh yes definitely! Totally agree 😩
Great video as always. I’m so glad I didn’t have any of those issues when starting my locs. Seeing videos like this helped inspire me.
Awwww I’m glad! Thank you for watching 🥰

Thank you and yesss that’s what you have to do lol. You can also tie them down for a few after you moisturize them , it helps with the frizz
@@Chynax_M will try that and thank you very much😃

Ohh yesss, definitely. It helps to wrap it after you moisturize and oil in the morning for about 5 mins . That always help me control the frizz
Waitttttt!!!! Girl I haven't watched in awhile and your locs grew so much!!! Ok sis 🤩
Awww lol thank you for coming back 🥰 and yes they really did !
