    That’s wonderful! I hope it spreads across the country to all colleges. What a great fraternity to open their heart and life to this student!

    Both of my kids are full time students at Clemson. I can say that the moment we took the tour for my daughter as an incoming freshman, the place just screams family. And it’s truly authentic. So while I’m not surprised at all by this wonderful example, it confirms everything we’ve known about Clemson. Good on ya CBS for airing this. We need more of this in our country!

    This has to be my most favorite segment I've ever seen on CBS Sunday Morning and I've been watching it since is was a young girl - bawled my eyes out thru the WHOLE thing! *THIS IS THE WAY THINGS SHOULD BE, SHOULD HAVE BEEN ALL ALONG, AND SHOULD BE 100% GOING FORWARD* !!!

    As a senior citizen and aunt of three special needs children, I so appreciated this video. The best part is realizing that young men and women like this exist among the younger generations!

    Charlie is a true southern gentleman and he is going to teach his brothers more than they could ever teach them. My time in the Greek system was fraught from the beginning, getting dropped by ever house on campus on day one because I didnt fit the image. I received a bid, and joined, but typical Greek life was not for me. Maybe Charlie and Clemson will lead the way to a better Greek System on all campuses.

    I was a frat President in college. My assumption is, these days, a frat at a school like Clemson has mid to light hazing. I wonder if they adusted their pledge process to accommodate him.

    • @GillyWhitfootHaysend
      @GillyWhitfootHaysend 3 месяца назад +4

      They better revolutionize away from hazing and all that drunken, drugged up, sexual assault-rampant bs altogether.

    • @JackieDaytona1776
      @JackieDaytona1776 3 месяца назад +1

      @GillyWhitfootHaysend there is a place for hazing in my mind, so long as no one is being forced to drink. A lot of our hazing was physical training, stuff we'd read about the Marines doing. The drugs and sexual assault narrative works well in the media, but with how fraternities are scrutinized and observed anymore, their sexual assault numbers are less than non greek life members. But when idiots do illegal stuff, if they're in a frat that story gets more clicks.

      Participate trophy 🏆 Generation.

    • @JackieDaytona1776
      @JackieDaytona1776 3 месяца назад

      @JoelGs-z9r not necessarily. There were a lot of pledges I bet at the onset wouldn't last the process, and often times (certainly not always) they'd push themselves harder and farther to prove us wrong and they would grow a lot because of it. Each generation gets softer by design. We should all want our children to not have to work as hard as us for the things we have, but the values and skills we have are a reflection of our hard work.
