As a child our parents bought a few acres on the side of a fully forested mountain (small mountain..lol) in Oklahoma. They sold everything and we moved to the property. We had one power plug high up on a tree and that was it. Our parents began building our home/cabin. For 8 months we camped. Literally. Most evenings after dinner we hopped in the station wagon and went to a lake to swim. We used the campground restrooms there to shower before going "home". I was the oldest at 8. Two younger brothers. All in our early 50's now, hands down, no arguments whatsoever....those 8 months are STILL TO THIS DAY the best memories of our early life. We cherish every memory of that time. Im not exaggerating one bit! My father still saddens when reminded of the later loss of that property in the divorce. (Not related to that time at all). All children, actually, most humans I believe ultimately live better lives and are happier when closer to nature. To the earth. Whether by camping, farming, or just being outside more than inside...we are healthier all around. Some prefer the ocean, or desert, others great prairies and others deep jungles or mountainous woods. There's somewhere for everyone. My 2 cents.
    Thanks for sharing.🥰

However, I'm glad I watched this through because I was wrong about this family. @Coco Yes, that is correct. But their lives are based on survival and a lot of hard work. What we see in these videos are more of adventure taking; which there is nothing wrong with it. The children love it and are learning a lot. But children grow, adults get older. So this nomadic type of living in countries like US, Canada and UK is mostly short lived. The nomadic tribes of Mongolia, China, Russia and Africa way of life is all they know and have. No electricity, no internet, no running water, no solar energy, little or no medicine, and in most of these places, no gas driven vehicles. That is a real nomadic life, and it is hard.

They never get anything beyond what the mom and dad want. I really truly find this horrible these boys deserve to be in school with Playmates and having a school routine that can build their life. Not mommy and daddy's getaway fun. It's just sad and wrong. These boys deserve so much better the parents are selfish and self-centered.

You say the boys never get anything they want, but at the moment they are having the time of their lives and building wonderful family relationships and memories. It's obviously what the boys want as well.
Deserve to be in school? I would have *loved not* being in school at that age!! At least they have each other. And, the whole idea that kids "need" lots of other kids as "playmates" is a relatively recent idea. Well, thing is there's a real world outside camping, where you need to have an education to be able to work, study and live. While I thing their camping set up could be amazing for holidays, it is not going to be good for kids on the longer run. The scholling delay could impair the kids future. Bad schooling = no univ= probably not great jobs opportunity.
So yeah, no school for kids yaaaaay when your are 7yo, but it's actually for the best when it comes to be able to work as functionnal member of the society and to have a minimum of skills so you don't end up in bad places. If you care about your kids.

This is luxury.......I traveled the world for 20 years making Natural History & Wildlife Films and have lived under much worst conditions. This is fabulous! Bravo! I'm assuming that at some point one or both of you gets online and does some work to support yourselves????

They clearly are very wealthy. I dont think they work at all as it not only was not mentioned but when mentioning the starlink and video calls they mention only calling family.

What a unique and well thought out traveling home. You seem to have everything that your family needs to survive anywhere. I love the tent(sleeping hut) 9 feet above the ground.

Wow! How smart is your oldest. This whole setup is really unique.i haven't
Seen this type of setup. The kids get more education doing this than anything else. Clever shower as well. Overall,I give it a three thumbs up.👍👍👍💞☮🧞‍♀️

Fantastic set up! I know what you mean about feeling the most at home on the road❣️Excellent warm shower idea! 😊 I'm glad to know you can still get something like a whole map on a digital display screen. I grew up in a similar way, many years ago and maps were the first things I learned to read, and my favorite. 🗺😃

Love this! I had a similar experience as a child in Australia with my parents. These folks are much more advanced and set up /organization/self sufficiency but this is simply brilliant! Fantastic experience for the kids - Nothing impacts you more in education than the experience to travel to encounter new experiences and people. Great parents ;) As long as you have access to a library you are great! Well done 👍

This is very nice! Hey Julie and Chris! You guys have a great life! But, you need to get some attachable sides for the awning so you will have a nice enclosed space for bad, or just cold, weather - without having to spend that time in the tents or jeep. You can even get a very small wood-burning stove that can be used under the awning even after you have the enclosures up. Kinda like a big tent as your house! Something like what BONJOUR Video, and one or two others, has on their awning set-up. You have a great set-up otherwise that's for sure! God bless y'all.

Good for them for making it work and being a happy family! I could never go through a period without a flushing toilet and a good shower. And having no adult time because there isn’t even a door would be very difficult. But it works for them and I’m sure their kids will remember all those trips for the rest of their lives.
