I have been watching the wingamm’s forever, I’m so crazy excited they’re coming here!!!! I had repeatedly said and felt that it only makes sense to put the bed in the ceiling or a bed over a dinette, in MY opinion nothing else makes sense

FYi- that price does not include a TV and a couple of other things that Americans like. Having a brain blank as to the other 2 things that are extra. You'll have to watch the other vids on this model. I want a screen "door", not a rinky dink curtain with magnets, I want a real door that locks.
I wonder how much will be for lithium battery upgrade?
We need this to happen...the styling of our US models are soooooooo outdated and models such as this will force the US manufacturers to step it up and come into the year 2022+, hopefully

Truth.
The strength of the Wingamm is its own weakness; this looks like a class C van. You lose the stealthiness of a B van. I wouldn't spend $145k on a Dodge Promaster chassis. I'd rather buy something like a Thor Sanctuary/Tranquility built on a Mercedes Sprinter 4x4 chassis for $120K.
Check out Thor models, Tellaro. You might be surprised! Nice looking and very high tech.

My motorhome in the U.K. is 20 years old with many of these features and I am so surprised that USA is only just catching on to this design
Well, the US customer is stuck with manufacturers sitting on their hands, producing junk with poor designs, their latest technical achievement is... LED lighting...
I'm glad they have the option to not get the decal because those things burn off down here in Arizona... for the price they are charging I think they should include two lithium batteries a stronger solar panel and the inverter. Hats off to them on the design though we badly need something different that's why so many people are building their own band because what's out there is unacceptable especially to us baby boomers
The VERY BEST utilization of space in a short 17'-18' RV. Sleeping for 4 is spacious for all, with unhindered bathroom access for all (NOTE: this is far better than Winnebago's Travato K or G in both spacious sleeping AND bathroom access). Window treatments are 100% intelligent and full-featured. Better than anything I have seen.
I saw one review of a 17' and it looked so much smaller and could only sleep one or two people.
This is a CLASS C like the EKKO

Finally a European quality RV. If you look at the European RV's they are amazing and stylish as opposed to the US ones that look like someones wood shop project. I would love to have this for weekend get aways.

The European version costs €61,270 version. That is roughly $69,500. What's the deal? Does it cost that much to ship? Why is it so more expensive in the US?

This is an amazing vehicle, really nice to see something different from the typical US RVs, sooo tired of cheap brown wood cabinets in most class Cs! That's why I love the Beyond, the beautiful cabinetry! Even though this is technically a class C because it's a cutaway it really seems to have the ease of parking you get with a van. I hope they are going to be at the Ocala FL show, would love to see it up close!

Tired of the grandma interior stying of US rv’s. This looks clean and modern. Just think of an old Roadtrek 17 footer, there’s no comparison. I know Roadtrek is/was Canadian.

I love how the price is almost double in the US compared to Europe. I do actually love that were starting to get some of the European design for smaller vehicles. now if only we could get the lower prices too.

This is a great option for people who do not want to hitch and unhitch every day. However the $145,000, even considering you can save on not having to have a separate car, might be beyond most US RV'ers. Still one of the best RV's I have seen.
Tiny Houses, vans, RVs.....no matter what it is. I always skip to the best part >>>> bathroom! Not sure why I'm always obsessed what the bathroom looks like.

I really like the Simpleness ..set up of this van ..everything at reach ..and bathroom is what I am ...talking about👍 why can't other vans ..make great Comfy.. bathroom.. and big enough.. where people can actually take a shower and not feel Phobic.. Great video! It's interesting that this base model is $140k. Pretty expensive in EU standards. Premium indeed. Very innovative for US RV industry even though this design was out years ago in Europe. We're finally getting some EU love instead of our 19 forgotten designs here in US. Just check out RV's with valances 😫😫😫 eewww we're in 2022 and still with them...

This is very cool! Loving the luxury finishes, and no slide for those quick parking lot stops to sleep at night. All comfort necessities easily contained within a smaller unit, and beautiful to boot. It will surely be a winner in the US market.
I've been watching a few of these videos on this model and Tony is a good salesman. Hopefully this will be popular

Pretty sure you would have to plug in to use the a/c but this van really tics the boxes for those wanting a smaller rv. Outside storage was excellent.

Hi Lola and Hank! It was so nice to have met you at the Tampa RV show. I did stop by to view this unit, and I tell you that the layout is amazing, the style is really nice, lots of light flows through, the bathroom is roomy, and it has quiet a bit of storage considering its size.

RUclipss by actual RV users are best. I appreciate your thoughts. I am probably not going to be in the market for 4 or 5 more years- when I retire. But I have seen these European models on youtube and wondered why they don't come to the USA. Wingamm was already one that I liked. I wasn't even concerned about price beause U.S. B and B+ models are similarly expensive. I love this Wingamm. I love the fiberglass and the shortness. Their website shows they offer slightly larger versions with a bunk bed or garage in the back, and my biggest decision would be whether I want the tiniest one or the one with storage.
I will be following up on those that buy and talk about them. Thank you for posting about this.

Love the sink! We had a1986 sunraider 21 ft, it was 2 piece fiberglass with a one piece fiberglass wet bath, few Seams to get messy.

Mercedes definitely have style and functionality but at a cost. Love the stealth setup where most people wouldn’t think it was a RV. Also the overland features are something I can appreciate. Especially when you go RVing to escape the normal life of hotels and experience the beautiful country.

At last, great to see a taller man trying out the space. Us taller ladies have same issues, the space has to be functional for us to move freely. Dont like feeling like a spider in a matchbox!! 😂

Love the layout design and it looks suoer cool from thebouside. Hopefully there are more European and Japanese RV models coming into the US. They just look so different that makes you want to buy it. I wish its onlg half price though, lol.

Did you feel that? The American RV industry just felt the same earthshaking experience that the US auto industry felt in the early 70s when Honda’s arrived in the States.

Great interview. My only concern, is based on the fiberglass shell. If a crack develops then a very expensive repair would be in order. Also sounds more like they probably won’t be able to keep up with demand, and then you have to wait for it to ship from Europe, can you say “ we have a delivery delay” . I love it but will be on the sidelines watching and listening to all the compliments and complaints before I consider buying. Would love to see a 20 ft version on the Promaster 3500 van.
Wingamm rep (Tony) says the longer 610 series (20') isn't coming to U.S. until 2023. I'm willing to wait. The 610 series has a huge garage that doubles as a bunk area. Acc. to Wingamm website, fiberglass is inexpensive to repair. Frankly, I would rather repair fiberglass than a metal roof or metal roofline.

Kitchen okay, but it needs a convection microwave (since there’s no oven) and since this rig has a small dorm fridge you’d have to put a cooler style fridge freezer in that couch accessible compartment to store frozen stuff.
The price made my jaw drop!
But I like the layout and hope that the price will be discounted in 2023….

The storage locker behind the driver's door is not that handy because it is not on the passenger side where the entrance door and awning exist. Sure, it's a cool idea, but perhaps a better use could be devised for that space.

Hank: I spoke with Tony and thanked him for the OASI walkthrough with you. I specifically asked if Wingamm would put seat belts (lap belts) upon request on two seats near the front cab in their 610 ST model (which includes a jump seat). One would be on the end of the L-lounge behind the driver; the other would be on the jump seat behind front passenger. This is EXACTLY what LTV has recently put in their 2022 Wonder Rear Lounge. Our family seating requirement is 6 (not 4), so I'm waiting to hear from Tony. Let me know what you think.

Your right, I don't like the look of the front end of the Promaster as much as this one. I like the fact no sliding door and white interior. I hope some US RV manufacturers pick up on this concept and come out with similar designs.
Promaster front end is 3 to 4 generations old design Fiat used last time in 2014.

Ok I’m really into the styling and innovation of this RV. The front facia and wheels I hope are truly coming because the older version is kind of fugly. The ingenious use of space is astonishing to fit in such a small profile. Last the price is more than reasonable. Great vid Hank and Lola

Love this and thanks for updating this segment. The European market is so far ahead of America. Is there enough power to run the A/C if not plugged in? Entertainment package? What is the exterior height? The A/C looks stealthy, low profile. Will parts/repairs be easily accessible? Is the freshwater tank protected against freezing? Grey tank? This van would make the perfect daily traveler/park in your driveway/get away vehicle. Definitely going to be monitoring this model as a replacement for my larger RV. Great job of reviewing.
