Very informative tour. It may just be me, but why do people want an auto-sleeper for £73K when you can have a McLouis 330 motorhome for about £60K with two drop down double beds, a proper social lounge and a shower, not a wetroom? That's the one I would buy.
Agree. This one definitely seemed pricey
Auto-Sleeper Symbol is better quality and much more car like to drive and park especially with the auto box. I have, on many occasions, used my Symbol as a second car - something that's not so easy with a larger van.

It has excellent layouts at a reasonable price.

It’s nice they put a gas port for the bbq but where can you store the bbq ? Didn’t see any storage space for out side furniture to use under the awning.
That’d be a great unit to get away for a weekend and watch the races. All self contained.

9 speed auto in the cockpit is a terrific feature.
I suppose it depends on how view storage space vs functionality, but I would've put the cupboard that's above the fridge behind the seat/bed where there are those two small cupboards with wasted space around them, get rid of the those two small cupboards, and replace that small fridge with a taller fridge freezer, and maybe a storage cupboard above if space allowed.
Move the TOTAL contents of a Studio Flat and fit it into a Six Meter Van. You couldn't do that if the van were empty AND towed a trailer. Yet Auto-Sleeper has done it in a livable fashion with this Symbol Plus. Compromises? Did you not read the first sentence? YES. But the way Auto-Sleeper executed those compromises is what makes this more than simply livable - it's enjoyable. And that is a buyers first requirement. Thanks, Nick for a fun look around this Symbol of enjoyment - PLUS.
The power step ought to pop out by itself when the door is open, the bathroom/toilet needs to be like the Auto-sleeper Nuevo.

I used to own a 1989 Autosleeper Rambler which I suppose was a spiritual forerunner of this van. I'm sure this has lots of additional safety - but I'm afraid I still find the 30 year old design cleverer, more versatile and more appealing. Four berth, four forward facing seats, separate oven and grill, access to the rear doors and on a shorter wheel base. I guess they feel there's just not a market for that layout any longer.

Sadly we motorhemers would call this camper a slap and bang van. As when you are parked beside it when they go to make the bed especially after drink has been consumed. They will wake up the campsite. 😉😂 Desinged by someone who never has gone out in a campervan.
In the real world where do you store leads, levellers, hosepipe, outside chairs etc ?
i really like the van, but for the price i would have thought there would be a better bed setup, great video as always

LPG outlet for a gas bbq but without any boot or garage where do you put the bbq?

I have a Sienna since 2019 and it is at least 300 hp, 160 hp is enough for an RV which is larger in size?

The Symbol Plus is clearly much better inside than the Symbol but the USP of the Symbol is that it is a grown up Camper at 5.4 metres. 5.4 metre vans are great in town and therefore can be your only vehicle in a way that 6 metre vans rather struggle at.

Nice van however, if you carry duvalays, where can you store those during the day ,bedding storage is always an issue and in that van, seems impossible and at £73000 I won't bother
For £73k I'd want at least 1 TV.....
£73K for TWO BERTHs and it’s not even a permanent bed system! Far too expensive for what it is.

i think autosleeper used to be top quality back in the 90s or thereabouts but nowadays it seems they have lost the stand out things that were so good i.e decals outside the style of cabinets and cushions etc. just look like any other brand now you wouldnt know if it was an autosleeper or not apart from the as on the seats! just my opinion anyway
you mean those cabinets that had fake oak wood effect that faded terribly in the sun and the cheap plastic brass catches that wore off back to the plastic
The car looks nice with the colors and the materials but the beds are terrible. You would expect a permanent bed and something you have to build up every evening and stow away every morning. Sleeping on the chair is something for 1 night, but not for a longer period of time. No, this is not the one for me.
Imo not the best layout. With the Double bed out you can’t get out of the vehicle very easily .
Nice motor but a bit overpriced, get twice that 2nd hand or a nice boat

Seems . Disappointing. Poor storage capacity ( not even a place to put a BBQ or lawn chairs), impractical beds that also block the main exit to the vehicle, three burner hob when it has space for 4, no separate shower when it clearly has the space with some clever solutions, small fridge too. Even in this price range I've seen much more practical vehicles - it seems practicality was not a priority with this one.
Personally there’s better layouts available!

Bad layout! how are you meant to get in and out of the kitchen and bathroom if someone is sleeping and the bed is pulled out? 🤔
No, its a mobile kitchen. Where do you put your toys. Not a good bed.
