So glad to hear Skechers scoring a win. They are a very underrated brand. To prove it again, look at the comments below, no one is hardly talking about the winner, the Max Road 5?? My question would be, how do they stack up if you measure them as daily trainers side by side. If I am strictly buying a daily trainer, which one would you pick, Seth?
Great battle! The pictures of the shoes after long term use also very helpful with durability predictions QD: Peg trail 3 vs Ultra Glide would be good battle for cushioned trail shoes. Onward and upward
QD: 3-way battle. Nike Next% 2, Asics Metaspeed Sky, Adidas Adizero Adios Pro 2. Marathon racing shoe battle just in time for the Olympic marathon race.
I love that you added the fan photos for the website! As I can afford only 1 road and one trail shoe, durability is very very important to me, so Im always looking for a prediction, or a long term review of a shoe :)
The crowd sourcing is GREAT! I know we can go to reviews online with customers sending pictures, but this seems clean and streamlined and coming from all like-minded purchasers!
@@toddb3414 it feels fine for me. But I normally don’t have issues with shoes not fitting well. I will say it seems to have a little more room, but definitely doesn’t seem to be too big by any means
I have them both and it's hard not to pick up my Max road 5 over my Novablast2. The upper is great on the road 5 but the softness on the Novablast2 is hard to pass up as well. I'm loving both for different reasons 🤩.
Just got my first pair of Novablast 2 the other day and put about 18 miles on them so far. They are unbelievably comfortable. Really happy with my choice. 😎😎😎
Its trail season! Lets talk trail shoes. Ultra Glide vs. Wildhorse 7 On a side note: Can we talk about how Sally McRae won Badwater 135 in the Nike Invincible?? I would like to ask her why she chose that shoe...though based on community feedback, it might be obvious.
@danny J you considering a Nike trail shoe?? And I want to know her reasons too! I’m thinking she must have such strong ankles from all her trail training, so the cushion might’ve been the “sole” reason 😁
@@shannonsides6017 haha punny. Nope--not considering Nike anything. Just want to see how the ultra glide stacks up against other popular shoes that seem to be working well. Best compare would be to evo speedgoat. But I want to see 21' vs. 21'.
That was an interesting review. I have the Novablast 2 and love them but don't feel that much energy return (felt more in V1). They feel incredibly cushioned and do a great job absorbing shock. I'm a mid-foot striker and may be landing on a dead spot between the heel and forefoot. Going to give the Skechers a try.
May be pushing it with this one but… QD: Rincon 3 vs Rincon 2 I’m excited to see the updates to the Rincon. I loved the original shoe, but the 2 was not too appealing to me. There are notable differences in the 3, and I’m excited to hear your thoughts on them!
I believe that the "winner" should not depend on a simple average of all the categories. First, some categories are much more important than other (eg, energy return, midsole vs. outsole). Second, price is a category that a) some people don't care; b) a $5 difference is treated the same as a $120 difference) - I think you need to apply a weighted average when you declare winners
Seth! I have an important question! So I’m heading to military training in a month. I need a pair of running shoes that will prevent injury and are easy on my body that I can still kick into second gear and run a competitive 3 mile time. At training I will be doing trails, road, and LOTS of walking. I’ve been wearing the saucony guide 13 (recommended by a guy at fleet feet) since last year. I have recently been running in the endorphin speeds. I run about 25-30 miles a week. And my fastest 3 mile time is a 17:25.
@@michaeldominic2070 I believe SJD only tried the original MR4, not the +. The only review I've seen on the 5 with experience with the 4+ is RoadTrailRun (website has full review with multi-reviewers, but there's a youtube with one guy's 1st impressions)

I’m assuming those shoes are both at 50 miles... the OK-Year rubber looks worn... I’m skeptical of these name brand rubbers being used... same with Continental...
