As someone who just finished a rebuild on a mopar trans, the part at the very end about having to choose between strength and durability, or performance. Is 100% true. I used a lot of the same parts in this video, and spent my time researching before choosing parts and Chris knows what he’s talking about. Lots of solid information in this video, thank you

Need a scanner that shows data and a manual pressure gauge the service port is on the outside of trans. You gotta make sure to look for what gear the computer is asking for while looking at pressure. Very possible loosing line pressure

Thanks for the video. I have a 2005 Dodge Ram 2500 RWD and I have trouble with my transmission. I replaced the governor solenoid and transducer and it worked fine for a day and now when I turn the truck on transmission works fine as soon as I stop the truck completely the hit the gas pedal it will not move engine just revs. I turn truck off and shift it to drive it works once again shifting gears but as soon as I stop nothing. I am stumped I do not know a lot about transmissions that is why I am trying to watch as many videos so I can learn. Any suggestions?

Great info. Thank you. What trip disc torque converter would you recommend for 600-700 hp range?

Thank you for sharing the information with part numbers. What do you charge for a upgraded 48RE? Do you know of a programmer to change the shift program?

The 48re has limited electronic adjustability with a programmer, manly shift quality is handled through the valvebody upgrade. The 68Rfe is fully adjustable with a programmer. Typically these transmissions could range in price from 3k-7k. Hope this helps

Great info👍. Curious what it would take to build a 68rfe in a similar fashion.

Sonnax and others make an input drum that allows you to use double faces clutches instead of single faced. Converts back to use thick steels. They handle heat better. And also weld up planets
