Hi. If you just connect via Bluetooth, i.e, to save battery, will the location etc still be shared? Do you need to be connected via wi-fi? What is the proposed of the two connection methods specifically?
Good evening, Thanks for this video - very helpful. I am having probems trying to connect my K3 mk 3 to my iMac computer to upload my images. When I connect my K3 mark 1 it pops up straight away on my desktop and in my finder window as "Device" this is not happening with my new camera. I have my USB setting at MTP but still not showing when I connect and turn on my camera. If I have my Adobe Bridge set to open when a camera is connected it does open up the images. But you are not supposed to just disconnect the camera after the images have been uploaded without disconnecting the device but I don't have this option as not recognised on my Mac can you help? would appreciate your expertise :-)
Hi maggi, I don’t use an iMac so I’m not too sure how helpful I can be. One thing I would check would be the card slot position. Ensure you are using the one labeled #1 (it’s opposite from previous cameras). Another thing to double check is that you iMac has the latest firmware and the USB ports have the latest drivers updated.
@@maggimarmion3836 no, I mean the physical position of the SD card in the camera. the slot #1 and slot #2 slots are reversed compared to previous cameras
@@PentaxTips sorry it doesn’t make any difference 😔 doesn’t recognise that there is a camera connected when plugged into the port - I’ll try the Pentax forum to see if anyone else has this problem 👍. Thank you for your help anyway - regards
@@maggimarmion3836 sorry I couldn’t be more helpful. I definitely don’t know about iMacs but on a PC I would also check to ensure my USB ports drivers are up to date. Best luck
Wondering if you could one on horizon correction - what it's uses are, etc....thanks

So, is it suitable O-GPS module replacement for use with Astrotracer?
Actually the K-3 III has GPS-less Astrotracer thanks to a recent firmware update
Thanks..... good info.
Thank you for the information. It is invaluable.

@@PentaxTips thanks for this - did you mean check the card slot position on the camera’s menu ?

It works also ONLY with the wifi connection as previous PENTAX cameras?
Yep, I believe so - took me awhile to figure out the Bluetooth and I was using ONLY wifi for a few days :)

you did not elaborate how images are synced via Bluetooth or WiFi
This does not work well with Galaxy S21, At all, been very frustrating.
