The funny thing is that AP cho only got buffed in recent years, the Q cost used to be 90, hence it was way harder to harass. Now it's lower cooldown with 40 less mana cost. Great video about my most played champ!

Glad you mentioned the rift herald interaction. I love it when they get herald when im on cho free stacks and i didnt even work for it. It came to me :D side note, dont think you have to make plays with chogath in lane. If your not killi g the enemy laner. And your not dying your scaling gets crazy later so keeping yourself in the game is the main objective

With the Hail of Blades build, you can buy manamune and do a ton of damage with just his E alone, as it procs the manamune passive on each of the empowered autos E gives. Couple that with things like triforce/icebornGaunlet + Titanic, take demolish+overgrowth as secondary runes and Cho ends up being a pretty good ad bruiser as well.

Good guide but you forgot to say that each stacks increase the E damage increases by 0.5 max hp damage on hit. With 14 stacks you get 10% Max hp on each E auto

Damn, I am playing for the first time in about 8 years (was 13 when I stopped, now I'm 21), to kill some time when I'm not working. When I was young, I always played Cho Gath, because I liked the sound he make when he did his ult. Naturally, I insta bought Cho Gath when I made my new account. Seeing this video, and hearing that he's basically a crutch for bad players, kinda hurt, not going to lie. It won't stop me from playing Cho, but it's definitely painful. That being said, it's a fun video. Cheers🍻
what is the reasoning that Cosmic Insight is advised as the standard rune and Approach Velocity is better against melee matchups?
Cho'gath's Q skill has a ridiculous amount of dmg on both base and scale, very low mana cost and cooldown, huge range,....the only downside is the delay and not a big effect radius. The W and E skills, while still very strong, make me feel they can not match with the versatility of the Q skill
the CC duration on his Q is also crazy. It stuns AND slows afterwards. I love to play cho gat for invade. If you hit first Q it's a kill 99% of the time
Did you saw the /ff two yes? Its not broken unless you build tank.
I always played Cho'gath as support in the normal games whenever there are 1-2 jerks who instantly lock-pick melee AD champs like YS, Yone, Zed,... and making the team completely lack mage and/or tank. The Q spell has a ridiculous amount of base damage that makes Cho'gath becomes very annoying at level 5 with 3 points into Q even with just the support item
For anyone that's tired of AP; he has the 2nd highest base AD in the game, so you can try building Triforce on him and Manamune second (muramanas damage passive procs twice on every auto attack when you E because his spikes trigger spell effects). He struggles with mobility so pick ghost to make up for this
I use AP Cho it is very good if you land you Q's.
Cho can also play support his w and q is really good so he can basically play anywhere

I play ap chogath with hail of blades and I max w first and q second.
Instructions unclear, i'm gonna pick a mechanically complex champion and int just because it's cool.
im sorry but sion is way more forgiving ... its soo stupid how tank sion is broken even if you are 0-10 ...

Played cho a few days ago. Game snowballed so much I was the one getting one shot 😂
Never funny when you consistantly farm your R's while ennemy corki is 15/0 and you can't dodge his R cause your ass is half the midlane lmao
What's so ridiculous about this, in my opinion, is that Cho gets to oneshot casters with chapter and level 7. So much safety for a melee champ that you can't all in because if you blow your mobility first he has an easy time knocking you up and turning things around due to being naturally tankier than regular mages. So you can't push him in and roam like some other melee champs. I don't understand why Riot gives tanks so many ap ratios to begin with but that's a story for another day.

Just side-step and dodge Q though. It has 0.5s cast time and another 0.627s delay.
Unless you are being slowed by his E, even when getting silenced, you can still walk away.
And in Fiora case, just 1 Merc and if you get silenced with W, and Cho' Q after that, you still get a chance to W right at the moment the silence ends.
As somebody who secondaries full AP Cho Gath, idk wether to blush and say thank you or flip you off and say fuck you

Nothing about main, anyone who has played Cho with AP items before has probably used this build at some point, this is nothing new or revolutionary, it has been used since Everfrost existed, only difference being that few actually used AP Cho in ranked.

I used to play Cho ADC with a friend in Duo Queue; Cho + blitz is hilarious, at level 4 (with 2 points in Q) with a single grab you can deal 100-0 even at champ like Nautilus, so it’s not important who Blitz grab, he will die anyway.

Also, I'm pretty sure that Cho'Gath can also get free stacks from some clones, like Shaco R or Wukong W.
No, you wasted your R in that case, it can add a stack, but not count as a champion/epic monsters one.
The only special case is Sion in Zombie mode, which you can bite him at any time (no need to execute) and gain the stack.
Edit: it depends, Shaco does, Wukong, LeBlanc don't.

When your bad at the game just abuse the most brain dead champ you can find.
If that is the case then it won't really be a problem to face.
If you're bad at the game, an easy champ isn't going to help with your macro, and good macro is what wins games.
played around 3 games so far in various lanes, it's been terrible to pick up cho using this approach

Nope. Tried it in bronze 2. Doesnt work. Cho is too clumsy and gets easily beaten. There are so more better alternatives. You need to hit you Q and even then there need to be follow up dmg by the team. And 3 when 3 enemy champions focus you, you die instant, because youre squishy like hell. No champion is a guanteed victory.
then you just suck because i tried it in gold 3, just got 6 stacks from r so i got hp then managed to get 18/3/7
@@aeaeae51 1. Which season? Players get better and work together. Tried it yesterday with a smurf in iron and got fat, but my team doesnt want to group. Even a fat cho cant 1 vs 5. And ashe can slow me so much down that she can easily shredd me... there's no 100% win strategy. I believe you, that you were you lucky, but if you say I suck, then you forget, that it's a team game and other players have skill and are good too.

That champion were a lot of fun to play even back in 2014-2010, maybe a bit harder then whatever it's now, can't play because my account got hacked way back then and I lost a lot of skins which wasnt cheap to get then.
