This was such a well versed tutorial 🙌🏽. I’m surprised there aren’t more views!
Thanks so much! Really appreciate the support! 💙 Haha maybe in the future it'll get a few more views to help people out 😊
Thank you so much for making this video you have no clue how much it helped me 👍
Aww so glad it was helpful!! Hope you are having fun creating!
This was a very informative video cause I'm working on a pair to practice on & I did follow ur steps. I messed up the 1st time but the 2nd attempt was a bit better. I do have to invest in an airbrush. I do have a craft sponge to work with. I'll test that out next time n let u know how it comes out. Thanks for sharing your knowledge with us. Can't wait to see ur next project
Appreciate you! Yeah def practice! Airbrushes do make it a lot easier but there is challenges with it too! Take your time and practice. You got this! Love to see what you make!
Thank you so much this was really helpful 👏🏻 you‘re so underrated, definitely deserve more views. Good luck 👍🏻
Thanks so much! I plan to do more tutorials in the future. Appreciate your support! 💙
Omg this help a lot but I have a quick question if I use a hair dryer do I put it on hot or cold???
Use the warm/hot setting but I always use the lower speed setting. Too high of heat can make it melt and if the setting is on the high speed it can blow things all around if you aren’t careful.
I personally Like the hair dryer better since it really won’t get too hot if you use it for just a little bit.
Good luck! Let me know if you have any other questions👍
This video was so helpful thank you so much !
Glad it was helpful! Merry Christmas!
I appreciate your work. Can you suggest me the best website to buy all these things?
Sorry don’t know how I missed this! I have it on my Etsy shop or you can check out Etsy for other stencil customizers. I have some links in the caption. Let me know if you need any further questions!
Definetly subscribin!💯🔥🏆
Thank you so much 🙏
Nice video.. What instrumental is that in the background ? I love it
Thanks! I get pretty much all of the music off of youtubes free audio library...since I don't want to have youtube mute me for copyright infringement 😂
Thanks for the tips HJ!
Sure thing fam!
What kind of vinyl is it heat or adhesive
This videos is amazing 🐐🐐
Thank you greatly! Appreciate the support. Feel free to let me know if there are any other tips and tricks you would like to see in upcoming videos.
I tried customising my All Star canvas sneakers using fabric paint but it faded out, which paint or what kind of paint should I use? Good content by the way thank you😉
Try using either Alphaflex or Angelus. I have some links to paint options on my website/in the caption
They should work much better! Happy Creating! Thanks for the support! 💯 💯
HELPED A LOT, THANKS!!
EDIT: Where else can I get stencils, none in Amazon. I want LV but from your website I cannot because I live in Finland?
Glad it was helpful! I would suggest to go to Etsy and see if there are any stencil artists in your country. But be sure to look at their reviews, to make sure you are getting good quality stencils.
Sometimes if they sell stencil but don’t have it listed they can still do customs for you.
Thanks for your understanding and happy creating!
Joyfully,
HJ
What type of vinyl do you use for the stencil? Stencil vinyl, permanent vinyl, or removable vinyl?
It's permanent vinyl but it peels up pretty easily after you finish painting. Just use a heat gun/Embosser to help it peel off a little easier
HJartistry thank you so much!🙏🏽
@@bonniezuniga7753 no problem! 👍
If I wanna keep the stencil there using a little bit more the heat gun would that stay? can u put vinyl on shoes? i would love a tutorial! thanks
Do you mean to keep the vinyl there permanently? This vinyl is only to paint over. Htv would be what you'd want if you are looking to keep it their more permantly... I am just experimenting with htv now. If that wasn't your question please elaborate. Thanks!
@@HJartistry Did the htv stay on
@@dripboity2305 yes when I did htv it did say on... But in the areas that the creased the htv did come off... So yes and no... Another reason why stencils and paint are best. Or in my opinion, stencils and paint is most durable. Htv is easier... But only if it is put in areas that don't bend/crease. Hope that helps. Let me know if you have any other questions. I will put up a video of the verdict of my htv vans eventually!
What is this stencil made of and where can i get it from ?
Appreciate your work 👍
Thank you so much 😀
Great video! I am going to subscribe!!!!!
Thank you so much! 😊 💜 Appreciate the support!
I want to use stencils on Louis Vuitton bags. Will I be able to do this? The canvas is bumpy and I don’t know how I can make a straight line, if that makes sense?
Yes it’s possible to use them on designer bags. I personally have not done so, but it’s possible. @kkleathergoods on ig uses stencils sometimes and her work is sweet! Just remember to prep your bag adequately
After you spray the paint around the stencil, do you toss the stencil at the end or can you re-use it?
It's a one time use stencil. There are reusable stencils (not these tho), but they can't be as intricate and are usually best for only airbrushing more abstract designs (like galaxy etc).
great vid keep em coming
More to come! Thanks so much!
Your stencil seems like it comes apart really easily. What kind of vinyl and cutting strength are you using?
Hey I am using Orcal 651 but I know some people like the original cricut vinyl too. And I use a silouhette Cameo to cut. I have an aftermarket blade so I can’t give you a certain force/blade length. But my setting is a force of 9 and speed of 5 on it. Usually just do a few practice cuts and you can find what works best.
Hope that helps!
Is this heat transfer vinyl or permenent
Don’t use htv it can be there permanently. I can send you the link to Amazon if you’d like? I get oracal 651 it’s permanent vinyl, so it’s perfect for shoes since it can peel up after painting.
@@HJartistry yea send me a link please and thank u .. I have the joy tho is a lil bit smaller you think I can cut it then use it with the joy? ...
And you think heat transfer is any good for shoes like the supreme Yu cut out of it was heat transferred u think it will last?
Sure here is the link. I always like matte black best cause it’s easier to see in comparison to the glossy black: amzn.to/3PQ0sRR
And I am not familiar with the Joy but i did look it up and it looks like it should be able to. They article I read said you might need to do a few more passes on the cutter tho.
So I have only done htv a few times and I think it would be good, but maybe not as good as a painted design with a topcoat. Maybe just try it out for yourself before doing any work for clients?
Teach me your ways master 👐
Hahaha thanks!
What kind of paper is that? the stencil, what am i gonna search if i were to buy those
The stencil paper is on my website. I use oracal but there are different kinds. And if you're interested in transfer paper again there are multiple kinds of transfer paper but you can look up oracal vinyl and transfer paper on Amazon if you are wanting to do your own.
How to use negative side can you make a toutorial
Yes for sure. The negative side is more difficult (especially if you use it on canvas). Hopefully in a month or so I can do a video. Assuming you would specifically like to see the L V style stencils?
@@HJartistry yes for the lv stencils
Just a question which vinyl stencil material to use permanent or removable????
Permanent is best in my opinion. It'll still peel up after you paint it. Just use a heat gun (or hair dryer) a little to help loosen up the edges when the paint is dry👍
Ok thank you so much
I really appreciate
@@ankushsaini3210 no problem. Good luck! 👍
Where could I get elephant print stencils ?
I would say my website, but at this time I haven’t done any. Probably check on Etsy to see. Also look at the reviews on the shop on Etsy to ensure you get a good quality stencil. Good luck!
omgggg i loves this video!! new subscriber for sureee!!❤️
Thank you! 🙏 😊 Appreciate it
Where can I order alphabet stencil?
Unfortunately I don’t have that but if you check on Etsy they might? Be sure to look at the etsys shop reviews before purchasing a stencil to ensure you get good quality. Hope that helps! Good luck!
What stencil maker do you use?
I have a cameo 3 but there are a lot of good options. If you order off Amazon usually there is a decent return policy... But feel free to check out Michaels or hobby lobby too 👍
@@HJartistry Thanks for the information. I really wanted to find out.
@@Purpz_Productions sure thing! No problem. Best of luck!
@@HJartistry Thank you! Btw I just wanted to also ask what type of material you use for the cameo in your videos.
Is there a substitute for the transfer paper
Not that I am aware of. Some people do individually place stencils tho. If anyone else reading this, knows of a transfer paper substitute, I would like to know too.
How do you use the transfer paper on the negative side
It's a bit more complex. But I have had a few people ask. I personally do not weed out the design when doing the negative until after place it and use the transfer paper. I think my one video with vans explains it a little bit. Personally I always try to do it with the positive side if possible.
ruclips.net/video/VA9InxvFAgA/видео.html at about the 1:30 minute mark you can see I weeded out a few of the pieces... But not all... Just to see for placement. Then I removed the stencil... It takes a looooong time when using the negative on canvas and I have messed it up a lot if I am not completely patient. Hope that helps. I'll have to do a more thorough one in the future
What size I was it that was up top of the word that said AIR because i am making a custom air forces X yoshi on it because I’m gonna put an egg up top of then word that says AIR
@@plushyoshi5192 sorry not sure I understand. You need to measure your own shoes for all measurements.
What should I do to properly
prep
Check out some of my other videos. This one might help ruclips.net/video/Zf-1HKagksY/видео.html
But main thing is using acetone/deglazer to prep the leather
Where can u get word stencils and what do I put in the amazon search to get stencils that work for shoes
I actually do custom stencils if you are interested. www.hjartistry.com/stencils
Or if you want to look up vinyl stencils for shoes that might work too on Amazon
@@HJartistry can u do power ranger and Jacksonville jaguars
@@mariofigueroa1637 yes should be able to do so. Depends on how detailed and how big you want them.
@@HJartistry small for low tops but I would like for hightops as well
@@mariofigueroa1637 cool yeah feel free to contact me thru my website with the photos and dimensions in inches and we can discuss more. Thanks!
Can you add a stencil on to nubuck the same way?
Nubuck (like on Timberlands) yes. Just be super careful to not get any paint where you don't want it when using stencils. You can use it on suede too as long as it's a super low suede and not thick/puffy if that makes sense 😂. Again just be careful when painting over the suede.
Good luck!
Where you buy those stencils?
Link in the bio and at HJartistry.com. Thanks!
I might just make a living of customizing shoes
Awesome! Def keep working hard and you can! 🔥 🔥 🔥 👟
Is there a way to put the stencil on permanently
Nope. There are htv stencils that you iron on. But they aren't nearly as durable as using pro grade paints with stencils.
Angelus, alpha 6, or Jacquard are good paint options.
What htv do you use?
I get mine off of Amazon. I forget the exact brand but most work pretty similarly. Good luck!
@@HJartistry I happened to get a bad brand. Didn't have any adhesive on it. Went ahead and purchased Oracal 651 after returning the previous one. Thanks though for the response.
Is the oracle 651 printable?
@@benjaminmann12 I’m not sure. It doesn’t mention anything on the packaging about it being printable.

¡Buena suerte!
Ufff
