@@its-the-shoesokay cool. I have done a comparison on Angelus, jacquard, and alphaflex (and found that Angelus is best). But always open to others experiences. Thanks for the feedback!!
Thank you for that! I know Angelus is fantastic but haven’t had the chance to try Tarrago. Appreciate the insights 🙏 do you have a recommendation for finisher/top coat?
This is amazing! So talented! I love how you all mentioned safety procedures along with prepping. I use a lint roller to do my prep, it that tape is perfect, too. God bless all of you!
6:38 for my project i need the negtive stencil. what do you mean by "make sure to weed out your stencil before placing it"? (sorry, english is not my first language)
So sorry I didn’t reply to this sooner. To weed out a stencil means to peel it out, or to remove it. Let me know what language you speak and I can try to google translate it properly if that didn’t not make sense. Assuming you have already completed your project now and I hope it went smoothly 🙏 😊
Great question! Yes, go over the stencil after applying it, with the base color of the shoes. So in this case it’s ideal to use white (specifically Angelus flat white since it’s almost identical to the white af1s color). I don’t think we showed it in this video, but def go over the stencil with at least 1 light coat of white over the placed stencils--and then the normal color you choose. I personally only do 1 light white coat, I think some people might use more but too many layers of paint can cause issues with the durability too. Let me know if you have any other questions!
Hey so I use 2 different kinds, one is transfer tape. Here is the Amazon link: amzn.to/3ODjBWg And the other I actually prefer more but it does depend on what stencils you are applying. It’s a contact paper but works really well (this is the only brand I would recommend tho) the others are not the right level of grip: amzn.to/3OG14ZG
I feel like this make for a good video 😆 kinda in-depth. But long story short it depends on the time I would say. Average customs are around $250. When I did sell customs I would try to factor in the time and materials. So with the cost of materials/design time/ taxes to pay etc I would shoot for $50-75 an hr plus the cost of the shoes and shipping. If you are just starting out I would see if any of your friends/family would let you do a pair for a lesser cost…altho I feel like friends and family should pay more cause they love you but that’s just me 😆
Use neutral paint instead of white for the base layer
Oooo that is great advice!!’ Thank you! I’m gonna try to pin this! In your opinion is Angelus the best?
@@HJartistry honestly, i have never used another brand

Hey I get Angelus paint here is the link: angelusdirect.com/?dt_id=89438
Do you put down any first layer to prevent the paint from leaking under the stencil?

Hey so do you mean as an artist what price I would recommend to sell your shoes for?
@@HJartistry Correct. I'm inspired by your craft. I see that some types take a few hours and some can take a full day. (labor of love)

Ooo this is great advice! Are they at most stores ? Or at beauty supply stores? Never knew about them!!
i buy them on amazon.
@@luxbookplanners appreciate the info! I’m gonna get some now! Thank you!!!
Where do you get the stencil stuff
On Etsy: hjartistry.etsy.com/listing/1476700312
And select the 10x6 with LdesignFullV for the full sheet like in the video. Good luck!
Czasem warto zrezygnować z foli transferowej na rzecz papieru, ma słabszy klej. Łatwiej wtedy z nanoszeniem wzorców.
dziękuję bardzo za Twoją wiedzę! Zapamiętam na następny raz!
