I got to see the maps look very pretty and very well done. With all this more CQB combat it will be fun. I think I have said this before but GOH needs a lot more CQB maps and this is perfect!
For the idea of not using captured equipment, a decent compromise is to capture but you can only sell. I personally mostly do this for basically all the reasons you mentioned when discussing the idea (I once did a Finnish game where I was only allowed to purchase infantry and MGs, so all tanks, artillery, and AT had to be captured). Obviously, the game lets you use anything captured, so I won’t begrudge you for doing it, but I personally enjoy not abusing the system.
Oh I like that Finnish idea; I would love to try to do some interesting challenges/ideas but im prob not gonna switch in the middle of this campaign, though atm im not using much if any German equipment besides a mortar or two and a MG and AA gun
@@theShermanator yeah basically I just did a campaign as Finland and figured it’d be interesting (and even somewhat historically accurate) to have nothing but stolen stuff. I allowed myself MGs early on because capturing MGs and making sure they were actually captured ones and not bought is tricky since they’re identical. Even then, I mostly ended up using a DSHK that I stole.
@@lukeb1663 It's not stolen, it's commandeered. Being the AI gets so much more higher end tanks early on, the game kinds forces or at least makes it very tempting for you to use it.
Using captured equipment was definitely a thing in WWII; I think the game just goes a little overboard on it, and it would be nice to have a limit placed on how much you can actually use, as opposed to just capturing and selling.
6:20 oh yeah. I definitely never exploited this little loophole 100% never done it. I definitely haven’t taken an AT man, given his panzershrek to a random rifleman and then resupplied him after the battle. Nope I would never do something like that.

I ger the idea of noy capturing enemy equipment but it's sort of a big part of the conquest. Still be interesting to see how that works. You sacrificed a lot of men in that last battle. That's how conquest usually goes for me too.
@theShermanator was watching a new video from Wolfpack345 and he interviewed the devs and they even brought up.the Canadians and Scottish. Would love to see them whej the brits come
Yea... well.... the Valour Mod did exactly this times ago. Together with Brits, Frenchies, Italians, Hungarians and Japanese Faction. But the new Maps are really nice. Those cold, Muddy, Grey fields of Russian Steppe/Winter was kinda boring
Well Valour did this yeah, but its with a lot lower resolution, older models, or such as MACE, models taken from WT or WoT which are too high poly, unpolished
Would you ever do a conquest with USA co-op or solo? Going against the USSR at max difficult is rather challenging. But thought id ask to see how you go about playing it.
Ah the vast contrast between the open steppe of the soviet union and the confining maze of hedge rows in western europe...i wonder if they'd end up doing the pacific...
Fun thing: It looks like your Chafees have an MG mount on top so you could strip a .30 or .50 cal from somewhere else else have a gunner on top of the tonk.:3

Wouldn’t it kinda make sense for there to be more vehicles and personnel on the German side in western theater compared to the east? The amount of ground they had to cover was significantly less than the whole ass Russian front.
well Conquest is a little different, its not a setup campaign perse but its a growing battlefield where you and your opponent keep getting more and better units
Really can't wait for next week now! Looking forward to playing this DLC!

Thats a good idea, capturing it for money should be allowed, but I should do one without using captured equipment taken from one battle to another
