- This is a "how to" video which will show how to set up your favorite performances (not the regular voices) on the Yamaha MOXF8 Keyboard so that you can switch between them quickly in live performance. Be sure to watch my other video "Yamaha MOXF8 How to Switch Voices Quickly in Live Performance," which will give you even more info about this function on the MOXF8.
Cathy. Your so talented. Thank you
Cathy - you are a true treasure, and THANK YOU for making all of these videos. I read the manuals, but I still didn't quite know how to put it together into something useful. Your videos are short, easy to follow, and very helpful! For example, until seeing this video I didn't know there were multiple favorites lists.... You are such a great teacher!!!
Thanks, Gary! I hope they help.
Never had someone explain any like you
Very useful tip!
Thanks again for posting these great videos! You may also want to take a look at using Master Mode. You can save your Voices and Performances (or even Songs and Patterns too) to different Master memory locations, then when you go to perform live, just hit the Master button and select them in any order you like by using the 1-16 buttons. You can have any combination of up to 128 Voices, Performances, Songs or Patterns each assigned to its own individual button for instant recall.
Thanks, Nason! I have to admit that I have never done much with Master mode. I still have much to learn on the keyboard even after 14 years with a Motif. What you are describing sounds like a great idea. Make a video showing how to do it!!!
Hi Cathy, thank you for your precious video! Do the system memorize the transpose or the octave too?
I haven't tried that, but I would assume if you record a song and save it, that those functions would be saved with the song. Try it out and see what happens!! If you need help saving a song, watch my video ruclips.net/video/lrN4qbOqF-k/видео.html and go to 10:19 in the video to see how to save it onto a USB drive.
Thanks, do you know how to change the order of the favourite performance in the list? you know, the repertoire could change time to time...:) thanks
You should save your favorite voices/performances in Master Mode. Watch my video about How to Use Master Mode. You will like organizing your voices through Master Mode instead of saving them as Favorites. You can't change the order in Favorites, but in Master Mode you can put them in any order you want and access them through the 16 numbered buttons on the RH side of the keyboard.
