    For some clarification:
F1 drivers aren't mic'd up like you see in football etc.
What you are hearing is communication towards their team, but all those channels are openly broadcasted. That means other teams can hear it as well. This means teams will often use code language so their opponents can't understand them.

7:18 this is the track of Monaco, widely regarded as the most challenging track in F1 due to how close the walls are to you. (But very few overtakes happen because of that) If you didn’t know, Monaco is a very small country (3rd smallest in the world), the track covering almost 1/3 of it’s whole surface!
It’s also sometimes reffered as the ‘crown jewel’, it being one of the oldest tracks still on the calendar, and having plenty of well known corners.

I would recommend watching videos actually released by the F1 channel. They will probably give you more of a range of drivers reactions (a lot of this was M. f1 is a tough sport, both nico and lewis raced each other really hard and it's a bit inevitable when you're competing against each other that it can get dirty both on track and off. it may not seem deep but that's just how competitive and hungry these guys are and you sort of have to be at this level.

  • @sophiemwasela8099
    @sophiemwasela8099 7 месяцев назад +3

The Lewis and Nico dispute was that deep. Lewis joined Nico's team (Mercedes) in 2013 when they were still good friends. Then Lewis started beating Nico and things changed. Since Merc is a German team essentially and Nico is German..they started to give him more favorable attention and strategies. It even reached a point where they were having engineering meetings in German so that Lewis wouldn't understand. They even changed garage crew members at some point. Nico was trying to beat Lewis with everything in his arsenal and that included fighting dirty too. So Lewis definitely had to fight back and it effectively killed their once great friendship. You should react to the Silver Arrows war video.

11:00 the driver was Sebastian Vettel and although he’s German, the car he was driving in was Ferrari lol so close on the Italian part 😅
Also the altercation previously with the two driver you originally thought were just getting old was Nico Rosbourge and Lewis Hamilton. I pretty sure they were childhood friends who had been racing with and against each other from around 12 years old. At the time of the clip they were both part of Mercedes. When they throw the hats at each other I’m pretty sure that was the race were they both crashed into each other taking both cars out and resulting in Mercedes getting 0 points that race! Lewis won two WC in a row before it got broken up by Nico, who then retired straight after as WC (but then Lewis went on to win the driver championship another another four time in a row).

The whole moving from one side of the track thing... There is a driving line that is the fastest way around the track. Hello from Switzerland, be careful, the F1 racing rules do not correspond to the road traffic rules, so the driver who is in front (even if it is only a few cm) can choose the lane he likes, but he has to give space to other drivers (since they are not in be able to dissolve air or be able to decelerate from 200 km/h to 0 in an instant).
The track with the tunnel is Monaco, a narrow city circuit that is always spectacular because there are not many overtaking opportunities but there are some tight corners.
You might have misinterpreted the cap thing, Hamilton might have thrown it to his teammate so he wouldn't forget it, because drivers are required to wear the cap at the podium ceremony (tire sponsor).
Repairs are practically impossible (within a reasonable amount of time), even changing the front of the vehicle doesn't take long, but 10 seconds can easily make up 3-5 seats (or more), all other parts can't be replaced in the short time anyway (tires excepted, of course ).
By the way, I can recommend short interviews, especially the ones with Kimi Raikonnen, I would call them short, dry and spicy.

here's a bit of background info
[1] the guy you liked from the start, is Max Verstappen, he is extremely toxic, he uses racial slurs, and when asked not to by an entire country he says its not his problem they are offended. he pretty much washed clean his father in law who used the n word for a fellow driver, and that's only the surface. On the track his behaviour is even worst, he is considered the track bully, as he demands everyone else let him pass, and if they don't then he more times than not will crash on them. most drivers wield. this is of course anti- sportmanship.
[2] the "friendship beef" is between Nico Rosberg and Lewis Hamilton, the two had been friends since young, when they made it to the F1 Lewis became the goat. and Nico got jelly, so he decided to do everything in his power fair and unfair to win a championship.
Being in a Mercedes helped as it was a championship car. so in 2016, he did fair things like training very hard both physically and mentally, something that took a toll on him and retired after winning that champion against Lewis.
The unfair things started with, demanding to get lewis' team of mechanics who were very experienced, and Lewis ended up with a new team of mechanics who were new and inexperienced, which lead to having a car that broke down couple of times, and cost him the championship in the end. the other unfair stuff he did, was that he played a mental game with lewis. they were friends until that point so he knew what upsets him, and it used that against him in the entirety of the season, to break him mentally. Nico has actually gone on youtube and said what he had done, so these are not coming from my head or rumours.
That's what broke their friendship, so Lewis is not exactly petty, it is in his right to end a friendship with someone who uses personal things he learned because of that friendship to harm him. Nico even went so far to "advice" Lewis' next teammates what to use against him so they can beat him. Then he realized that being this open about how he got his champioship against Lewis at the time several times a chamption, and of course now a 7th times champion and one who has broken records of most wins, most podiums, most poles, and until 2021 the only driver who had won at least one race in every season he has competed in, it was saying more about him than Lewis, so now he tries to say that, lewis is the goat, and to win against him is not an easy job. lol
[3] the "italian" is Vettel, he is german lol
but he was driving for Ferrari at the time, and the majority of the team are italian so he probably picked up their english accent ahahhaha
