Sir u know very well about ur subscribers needs that's why we love ur videos. Billions of thanks Sir ji.
pawn to g3 is how you continue. he goes after some moves checkmate by either the queen to g2. Or if white decides to play Qf3 trying to save his position, you can bring the knight in to e4, chasing the queen away to give checkmate by the queen again to g2 or if the queen moves to h1 you can give the checkmate with the knight to d2
I had this position in many games, I guessed white made a mistake. but I couldn't find continuation after h6. I was afraid of attack on f7. Thanks for the useful video.
The answer is hxg3. if Bxg3, note the f2 pawn is pinned! so Qxg3+, Kh1, Qg2# if Qf3, Nd4 and after Qh1 then Nd2# Any other move, or if Qf3 and then back to d1, you can mate with gxh2, Kxh2(or h1) and Qg2#.
i have just come across your channel. Your videos are very informative and great for beginners. I have listened to your scholars mate punish videos and the ruy lopez and feel like i learned a ton! Keep them coming :)
5:40 instead of moving the knight on f2 to scape, why not move the bishop on the same square to check the king and prevent checkmate by blocking the black's queen on h5?how do we deal with that?
@8:00 P captures G3 White must recapture with Bishop. Black recaptures Bishop with QG3. White moves King to only available square,H1. Black plays Queen to G2 CHECKMATE
8:19 pawn takes g3 bishop need to take then queen takes bishop and pawn cannot take back because its pinned and the checkmate on g2 is unstoppable with the queen
Indeed! Note Qf3 doesn't work either. You can bring the knight to d4, chasing the queen to h1. Then Nd2# (if the queen moves back you take the bishop gxh2+, Kxh2, Qg2#)
H4 takes G3, instead of blundering an immediate mate, white tries bringing queen to f3, but then black goes Nd4 forcing the queen to either sacrifice or/and allow the pawn to take the bishop and subsequently allow the Qg2#
I enjoy watching your tips and counter moves that you share I try to keep them in mind when I’m in a game and a situation arises similar to the ones you show can never get enough ideas as far as chess goes can only help a persons game get stronger hopefully
Hello Igor, this is Pam Huett.i hope you and your family had a wonderful holiday. I'm almost 65 years old and I just started playing chess a couple years ago thanks to you. Wow, I really love your videos. Chess is looking then so easy. But if I played myself, sometimes I can't see anything. Sometimes the possibilities are too similar. Sometimes a move can be good and sometimes it seems the same one is a mistake?! 😪
well because i like youre channel i find on lichess for players 1500 and lower dont understand open game of chess they bog or down tempo the game and forget queen side of board. either black or white lol or like building big pawn chain that do nothing i hope you can send a video to them for understanding from b2 to e5 and im like WHY why me they dont understand to use back rank pieces and bores me
The difference in this video and your Italian video in the future is pawn to f3. Since it's not played here it's an easier defense, however if played in your future video and the queen has a battery with the bishop this would be completely different...please comment
If you plug this game into the engine, Black holds an incredibly losing position for about 10 moves, and awkward precise movements on their side will barely unlock some attacking threats, threats that would only do damage if you critically blundered. It starts with bg4. But the most obvious forcing line that stockfish recommends as its second option would be hxg3. After this, black has no good moves to recommence any attack, you are nearly guaranteed victory (it is not forced checkmate yet afterward but most times than none, after your opponent makes any move, it will be a forcing mate).
Setting up the position you suggest, I would normally just play QxN, and yes...the coordination of Black's attack seems to suffer. Being armed with knowledge of the suggested plan, however, consider gxf6. Now the White f3 Knight is stifled from coordinating with the c4 Bishop and after White makes some move, Black can continue calmly with Ke7...a move that occurs in some lines of the given trap. Notice that Black's Queen is now ready to spring onto the g-file, Black's rook still backs the h-pawn advancement to attack, and Black's c8 Bishop is ready to jump into the attack as well. White may not be instantly lost, but Black has more attackers on the enemy King (including the h-pawn!) at the moment than White has defenders, so aggressive play should require precise defense and, I would think, more often than not, lead to a win. Note that Bd7, much like Ke7, also frees up the a8 Rook to follow the Queen to the g-file should she step forward once there. I would loathe this position as White.
@@johnobrienii1156 Thanks for your analysis. I have just looked at this & after 8...Ke7 Stockfish gives White +1.34 advantage. I see the potential in your descripttion, but imho, White is fine after 7.Bxf6 & to me it appears your description is more wishful thinking, overly favouring some trappy attack that White can deal with fairly easily & equality results.. Clearly if White plays a couple of poor moves, then Black would get some advantage, but imho Black should not play hope chess. In fact, the more I analyse this, the less I like any of it, as the chess engine gives most lines as a draw/equality with good play for White! Anyway we can & should all make our own minds up & just not take chess advice without checking the analysis. There is a famous chess story about that with the game Zapata vs Anand 1-0 Biel 1988 (look it up if you do not know it, but it shows even GM's can take analysis for granted with bad results-Anand lost in 6 moves...). Happy chess all!
@@rpd350 Thanks for your response. I didn't do engine analysis, and even conceded that Black may not have an advantage with proper defense from White. That said...I do think White giving up a Bishop for a Knight early in the game no matter how Black recaptures is a mistake that can be punished with proper play by Black. Remember...equal positions may not favor Black...but they don't favor White, either. That isn't hope chess. That's keeping your opponent accountable for proper defense. In the meantime...where are White's replies according to Stockfish? Do we all play like Stockfish? Are you allowed to use an engine during play? I've seen positions swing from +1.34 to M1 for Black with improper play from White...especially in cases where "only moves" maintain the +1.34 for White. Computer evaluations can be deceiving and change with every ply the engine finds imperfect in a human game. At any rate...you don't have to like it. It was merely a suggestion of one possible response. How does Stockfish say it scores compared with other moves?

@8:03 I would take with pawn on G3, Fpawn is pinned so it would be a pretty forcing line after that.
Right cuz u can take on g3 with queen after since it's pinned by the bishop
pawn to g3 is how you continue. he goes after some moves checkmate by either the queen to g2. Or if white decides to play Qf3 trying to save his position, you can bring the knight in to e4, chasing the queen away to give checkmate by the queen again to g2 or if the queen moves to h1 you can give the checkmate with the knight to d2
Pawn to g3 , bishop takes the pawn because another white pawn is already pinned, Q to g3 takes the bishop, king to h1, Q 2 g2 checkmate.

Master Igor the magician ...the least to say.
@8:00 P captures G3
White must recapture with Bishop. Black recaptures Bishop with QG3. White moves King to only available square,H1. Black plays Queen to G2 CHECKMATE
At 3:06, Stockfish recomends b4 by white, which i can’t understand at all
You are the best teacher I've ever met
Thanks very much sir

Note Qf3 doesn't work either. You can bring the knight to d4, chasing the queen to h1. Then Nd2#

Can you make a video with all the chess moves like en pasant and cancelling because I'm going to sa so I need to be good
1:10 What if whites takes the knight?
at 5:27 what if white doesn’t recapture the pawn but just takes the knight back say to f7?
What should white play if black moves Bishop to E6 on the 6th move?
Hey so at 7:49 can't they go Qf3 and white is clearly good
H4 takes G3, instead of blundering an immediate mate, white tries bringing queen to f3, but then black goes Nd4 forcing the queen to either sacrifice or/and allow the pawn to take the bishop and subsequently allow the Qg2#

Thank you sir , please a lesson about French defence from the white prospective .🌹🌹🌹🌹🌹
Thanks for the question. Igor made a video about that. You can find it here

Good Luck!
H takes G, bishop takes G, queen takes G(F still pinned), mate in G2 with queen protected by h pawn
Thanks your video
5:47 white can play Nd2 and Nf3 after that
Sir please make videos on pirc defense please it's my humble request 🙏
1:23 So, what if white takes Nf6?
Solution would be 1. ... hxg3, threatening 2. ... gxh2 dbl ch and mate next move. If 2. Bxg3, then Qxg3 ch and mate next move.
In the first example you play:
Nxf7 - Qe7
Nxh8 - hxg3
hxg3
but suppose white doesn't play hxg3 but Nf7
gxh2, Kh1
gxf2, Kh1
Ng4
How to continue?
Thanks
Fantastic moves thanks
Glad you enjoyed it

what do you do if the bishop just takes your knight
That’s what i want to know it happens all the time
U can take with ur pawn and use the open g file to attack and castle queenside or u can take with ur queen and then get good
i mean the white knight is pinned if they don't move the queen for 4 straight moves
Very nice, but neglecting white other knight the entire video kb1 to d2 solves very many problems for white
But what if Bishop doesn't go back but takes the Knight?
