for those who dont understand why thanos won, heres 4 reasons why:
1: this battle was just for fun, no actual research was done (not to my knowledge)
2: thanos is much more popular and is an overall better written character than beerus, so of course he was chosen to win.
3: even if we use feats and statements, thanos would actually be more powerful (not sure about base form tho) but with the gauntlet
4: you must understand that the movies and comics are seperate continuities. if you dont understand, its like dragon ball super and dragon ball gt... or xenoverse or heroes, etc.

Listen up people! For all of you going on and on and on and on and on about certain things in the video let me point out a few things.
First: THIS IS ZERO RESEARCH!!! If you do not understand this concept let me break it down simple. There is no research done and results DO NOT matter. What matters is the animation. In zero research, a Goomba could beat Beerus, Thanos and Darkseid all at once if the animator wanted to. So stop being salty about the results and enjoy the animation for what it is.
Second: Anyone saying Beerus should use the Hakai. Watch the goddamn video.
3rd: All the people saying these guys hate Dragon Ball cause of this.... No. They do not. Dragon Ball has plenty of wins and losses on this channel. They aren't fan boys, but they aren't haters either. Dragon Ball wins or loses just like any other series out there.

It's simple. If it's thanos from the movie's. Beerus wins no debate. But Classic comic Thanos definitely wrecks beerus , but he'd still put up a decent fight before the end. Beerus isn't a pushover lol. Blew up exactly half of a planet Just by tapping his finger on a dinner table. He can use his hakai technique and you instantly are wiped from existence, though it's not 100% effective depending how powerful the opponent is that it's used upon. Frieza and Goku have both resisted hakai attacks, though it was energy borrowed by a weak fighter from one of the weaker god's of destruction from the Dragonball multiverse. So yes, it's not a perfect technique but when effective it's even destroyed ghosts, so even a spirit can potentially be destroyed by it. His battle with Goku threatened to destroy the whole universe, just through the punches they were trading.
Ultimately though, yes comic book thanos wins just don't go downplaying him he'd put up a good fight.
Edit: Also, beerus has also never been shown at full power so we don't know the true limits of his power. Though I still don't expect him to win. Just thought I would throw that out there

Beerus is at best, Low to Mid Multi Universal since Jiren blew that out of the water just by becoming serious but King Thanos slaughtered the Abstracts which are scaled from Mid to High Multiversal in overall potency before moving onto Hyperverse beings such as the Living Tribunal.

Even old and wasting away, scavenger Thanos is able to resist attacks that should easily kill him despite having no trace of his power or any power before the God Quarry became a thing. There was a brawl with research. And Beerus lost. So did Goku Vegeta and Piccolo and they were working together.
As both a huge marvel and dbz fan, Thanos isn’t this strong. Do your research, Captain Marvel and Adam Warlock can wipe the floor with Thanos. And they aren’t even on DBZ’s level of strength.
Thanos has the Infinity Gauntlet here, and has also dealt with beings like the Hulk who are on "DBZ's level of strength" even without it. Adam Warlock and Captain Marvel are on DBZ's level of strength. Prove that they aren't.
But ignoring those things, it's not a researched match either. They probably did this one because some were complaining about this channel being biased toward Dragonball (it kind of was).
