Nice coolers, everyone I know who has one loves them. Your daughter sounds like a smart cookie
She's smarter than I by a long shot :)
Your enthusiasm is contagious!
LOL thanks Jim 👍
Worth every penny Steve! That’s some awesome results for 4 days use. Thanks Buddy!
You bet Thanks Doug.
Mr. Steve Rob, That is awesome, was thing of getting a Pelican 30 qt elite...now I know I'm getting one.
@@resqui9469 You will be just as impressed as I still am. Cheers
My dad always made ice blocks for our trips and we use to get blocks while travelling too. Now all you can get is ice cubes. I'm buying a new cooler for my road trip next month and watching the Tube for ideas. Thanks Steve.
Wyatt Pelican is super heavy duty and does a great job at keeping ice for a long time. The best cooler I ever had.
Wow that's freaking awesome. Yeps no locking needed. Nice cooler 👍👍 and good idea with a booze holder.
Paivi you would love one of these for your day trips. Keeps the beer sop cold too :)
@@SteveRobReviews Well we actually just got one last week from hubby's dads house. It's plug in type and it's kinda big but really nice size. Will be perfect for our trips happening one day. We test run it the other day and it went down like 30 degrees in 30 minutes or so it will work great for us. I'm so happy :)
Great cooler! Mine is on its way. Already own the 70qt elite and its very impressive cooler. One note is the Pelican elite series coolers are injection moulded. Earlier series pelican coolers were roto moulded but not the case with this 30qt elite you have. This cooler design and color combos wouldn't be possible with roto moulding process.
👍Cheers Derek
how heavy is the 30qt pelican once it's loaded with ice and etc for 1 person to carry? I haven't seen any videos on that aspect lol
@@1234y7-t had two sent to me that I bought, both had defects in production confirmed by pelican after I sent in pictures. Must have gotten a bad batch took months to get this sorted out going back and forth with emails and phone calls. They deemed both coolers I received were not to their standard and all inventory in that color was the same as I didn't want to go through the process of exchanging and returning a third cooler. Very upsetting. Eventually got a refund. Can't speak on the 30qt. But it did feel nice to and was a good width to carry solo. But they are heavy coolers and the width is easier to carry than their larger models. I'd go with the 30 over the 20 since the 30 has way more Insulation and 20 holds stuff cold for a day max in best circumstances. I have a 70 injection and 45 roto molded. Loaded properly with ice and beverages the 45 isn't super comfortable to carry and the wheels are a must. 70 qt is a two person job. I usually load it in the vehicle and that's where they stay until empty. 45 I will relocate once at a destination to make it more convenient since it has the wheels. Hope this helps
I like drinking cold water so i just fill 1gallon milk jugs and freeze them.... no draining coolers and plenty of cold drinking water. I even keep 8 or 10 in the bottom of the chest freezer all the time if the power is out i don't worry about plugging the freezer in for days. it also counts as my emergency water no need to add bleach or anything it won't go bad.
Good idea , yes plenty do exactly as your doing.
That is some good results after 4 days. 👍
I think so too! Cheers bud.
Looks like a nice cooler. Pelican makes good products.
They sure do bud and for the money they better :)
I'm not into ice blocks but I think that pelican is a good cooler....you got good results with your ice and that's the big thing...nothing worst than running out of ice....CHEERS
Just came back today after 4 days and it was hot but my ice was the size of a 6x6 inch left .
Just goes to show that it’s a well insulated cooler. Have a good one Steve! 😀👍
It's a beast of a cooler and most likely my last one. Take care Terry
Mmm Bailey Irish coffee 😋😋😋🤣👍 Good observation from your daughter 👍 I think also what is helping Steeve is the vacuum created like a fridge sometimes 🤔 Very good set up inside Sir 👍 Cheers 👍😉
Thanks Dave , life is an experiment so lets have some fun along the way. Cheers
@@SteveRobReviews I lift my glass to that Sir 🍻 👍😊
Hey Steve, great video, quite the engineering you have done there. My only issue is once you place your ice block you're left with so little room for food.
Well i'm experimenting with the sizes as I went up for the last 4 days at the camp and it was hot. I brought a 6 inch block that left me with 7 inches at the opposite end standing the block up and still came home with ice.
You took the words right out of my mouth about testing it to see how long a known quantity of ice will last.
Brandon I'm experimenting on block sizes and interesting enough I'm still making the ice blocks too big :)
How's she goin'? That sure looks like a decent cooler. The ice stays and the cooler holds enough. What more can you ask for!!! Take care!!!
Yes sir its about the best cooler I have ever spent so much money on :) Take Care Mike
how heavy is the pelican to carry once uts loaded with ice and etc?
About 50 pounds .
Pretty nice cooler Steve. I would need a big "extra" cooler for for days for my blue tea.I remember the ice block video. Not a cheap cooler you got there.
Papa , best cooler I ever had and the longest ice time too.
I still freeze water-filled milk jugs ( 1 gallon ) for my coolers then just set them back in the freezer. I like that Pelican cooler.
Terry no milk jugs up here :) Maybe I could try some antifreeze jugs LOL
That is a nice looking cooler
Jim its the best one I have ever tried . Just awesome...
You only drank 10 pints a day? Good man! Thank you for the video, Steve. Nice cooler. Stay safe
Holly molly that sounds a bit high maybe there Sean 😂😂
@@SteveRobReviews you opened the cooler 10 times a day.. or did it have food in it as well?
nice to know thanks for sharing
Were all learning , take care bud,
Very informative video!
Glad you liked it. Cheers
Doesn't keep that long when its 100 degrees out. I'm betting that's not a problem you have in Canada though 😂
Never experienced that high of temperature, I think Canada would melt 😂😂😂
Next time, you could just weigh the ice block before and after to get a percent change by volume.
Good idea 👍
Well look how thick the sides are it’s well insulated it should last at least that. 🤘
It's a keeper Calvin .....
Very cool 😉😂. So where did you keep the beer?! 🍻
I have a small fridge at the camp running off solar just for the beer 🍺🍺😂
STEVE ROB REVIEWS well I’m glad to hear you have your priorities in order! 👍🤣
Awesome Cooler!
The best I have ever used. Cheers Rex.
Nice !
Thanks!
awesome video yeah you could use half that much ice maybe 👍👍🛠️🛠️🇨🇦🇨🇦
Yes i'm experimenting on the size of the block for the amount of time needed and amount of stuff im packing away. Cheers
Is it better than the yeti for ice retention?
I never tried a yeti but this is exactly all I need . Cheers
Cool .
Sure is Cool !!!!!
