The disappointing thing is the 2 door is not available with all the safety and interior upgrades in a way cheaper basic spec you could add airlockers, arb bar and other aftermarket stuff. Like every other 2 door before it. And I didn't realise about the 95 petrol?! What the?! Where you going to buy that "remote"? Insanity.
I don't know why the Pentastar 3.6L V6 is being portrayed as needing high revs and being much harder to off-road with. With the Rubicon gearing, the V6 doesn't need to work hard to crawl up steep grades and is very easy to control. While it wouldn't surprise me if the 2.0L has greater low-down torque, I doubt it "makes it a * much * easier car to drive offroad".
They love to do everything customers do not want and reduce sales. No diesel! They should have turbo charged the V6 at least. Great car by all means, but minimal JK owners will upgrade so they need to sell them to new buyers who can buy Prado's, Ranger's, Pajero's, etc with more engine choices, for the same price.
Another lightweight puff piece by Matt. Two elephants in the room below he hasn't addressed at all , hope the accommodation and food were nice . Stellantis's / Fiat engine. The 4cyl requires min of 95 / Premium fuel ,which like the Y62 Nissan is ridiculous for a Australian off roader. The base driveway price for a hardtop Rubicon is 99,000 Aud ,add options and paint and its over 100,000 Aud now. Compared to 52 k US starting price in New York seriously !
Why compare a pathetic 4-cylinder engine to a V6 in the first place? That turbo isn't a plus; it's just an extra liability and another component prone to breakdowns. Naturally aspirated engines are always more reliable and less prone to issues compared to turbocharged ones. Plus, I wouldn't spend this much money on a Jeep Wrangler just to hear an engine that sounds like a lawn mower.
No bloody diesel engine again. Because the Americans can't handle the idea of using the same fuel pumps as trucks. (FACT) Stelantis is on the arse end of its life around the world except for the USA as they only really make vehicles for the yanks. How arrogant are they to try and convince the rest of us that 95 petrol is good. It basically doesn't exist in the outback or in small towns in serious bush country. Bit like their pathetic 4xe variant which is total crap nobodycan service outside a major city. Thinking about it Jeep cheaper out on the 4xe to generate carbon credits to offset the rest of their ridiculous truck / 4x4 fleet. $100,000 onroad, fuckin joking. And if CarExpert wants to retain credibility stop pushing bullshit reviews. We know independence is limited but truth equals longevity in business.😮
Bought my 2022 wrangler love it BUT……their customer service is the worst. Plus Jeep are leaving Australia so I would not even look at them. I’m selling mine extremely unreliable customer service
Beautiful car! Love it

I guess to put the diesel engine behind that grill doesn’t make a sense, yeah? Who would want a great fuel economy on road and mainly off road?

Don't punish yourself, get something else.
