How to check and add transmission fluid on a 2003 Dodge Neon (2000 - 2005)

Here is how to check and add transmission fluid on a 2003 dodge Neon. This should also work with any second generation 2000 to 2005 Dodge Neon. Be sure not to overfill.

Thank u for posting this at all and I know its better for content providers to have longer videos ad wise but a minute and a half checking the dipstick where its impossible to miss where to check it. Just needed to know how to add. 20 seconds on that.

Thank you for the video. I have a 98 Neon, The transmission started slipping a couple days ago and when I checked the fluid per your instructions it looks like it's bone dry. I don't even know the type of fluid because I got it used and there is no manual. I hope I can take care of this myself since a shop would charge an arm and a leg.

does your dipstick says add-warm- hot? if your engine is hot and your fluid reading in is "warm" level do i need to add fluid?. i used my car for 1 hour and when i checked the fluid the level was in "warm" level. do i need to add fluid with this reading?

When I put it on drive it idling and it.dosent want go but when it go for little bit then it idle again why...help me

question! when the cars hot! and in park? then you check it? when i turn the car off the transmission fluid is full but when its running in park its low.

so my transmission has not been shifting ie, at stop lights, when I go to move again, i'll hit the gas and the engine revs and I'm in neutral and it takes like 5 seconds to shift into gear. So I took the level of the trans fluid both hot and cold. when it was cold, it looked like it was at a normal level. between both of the cold marks, but when I tested it after driving it a bit, the dipstick was bone dry. so do I need to add fluid?

I get the same thing and I just swapped my rad cause my trans cooler blew. It has me so frustrated it's unreal
