Love the way it suddenly goes full Ennio Morricone towards the end. This is probably my favourite Nightwish Album and Anette has never sounded better. She has a really soulful quality to her voice.

All three singers of Nightwish are great and fit perfectly the songs Tuomas has written for them. This is such a beautiful song and Anette's voice is just perfect for it.

Ooh❤ Anette. This song is so beautiful and airy. Thanks to reaction. you are absolutely right that there is absolutely no point in comparing different singers with each other. They all have their own place in the history of Nightwish and each one has given a lot to the band. a lot of good music would be missing from the world without them.

Tuomas wrote this beautiful ballad after having witnessed the last words of his grandmother to her dying husband at a hospital.

Another wonderful song from this album is "Rest Calm". Anette's vocals combined with Marko's are awesome!!!

One of my favourites - a beautiful underrated ballad, and I love the unexpected Ennio Morricone vibe! This is from the Imaginaerum album, which tells an overarcing story, and there's a line in this that acts as a resolution to one of the early songs _(I_ _Want_ _My_ _Tears_ _Back)._ Thanks for the reaction!

I love that you’re picking these songs at random, you get my sub. Honestly I don’t know another reactor doing that.
People dismiss Anette sometimes, but I like her, as I do all of the singers. And she has fans who deserve a reaction because she doesn’t get many.
My preference for Over the Hills is the live version from the End of an Era DVD with Tarja. But really, every version is good.

I know you do these randomly but your reaction earned my sub. Beautiful song, sang perfectly.

Another excelent mood setting song would be "The islander" where Marko shines. Both official video and live from Tampere are fantastic renditions. I barely prefer the Tampere version, maybe because Floor's backing vocals are stunning. But the official video is a bit more inmersive in the mood. Cheers from Buenos Aires, Argentina!!!

This is Anette Olzen. All the Nightwish singers have their 'stand outs' and this is one of Anette's. A really great song, but it certainly isn't metal. A lot of Nightwish songs aren't metal. This is really mid-period Nightwish, rather than older.
BTW Moondance is from the Tarja era, but doesn't have a singer.
BTW, as a Gary Moore fan, you should probably check out the cover of "Thunder Rising" by the band "Pythia". I like that band almost as much as I do Nightwish.
