BROKEN BIN SWITCH ON MANITOWOC ICE MACHINE

Ice machines can be very difficult to troubleshoot. They involve many electrical parts and can be very tricky to fix. There are all sorts of brands that use all sorts of parts and electronics. All thought most manufacturers have tech support, they rarely pick up your call in a timely manner and when they finally get back to you, you are rarely still at the job site. The more you work on commercial ice machines the faster you get at troubleshooting them. It is important that when servicing ice machine you must be patient and never jump to conclusions too fast. Here we have a service call in which the customer says that their Manitowoc ice machine is work producing any ice. After troubleshooting this ice machine I found out the there was a intermittent problem with the bin switch. Here I teach you guys how to install a manitowoc bin switch if ever yours breaks down.

What does a broken bin switch do??

If the bin switch is not working or "Broken", the unit will not go into a freeze cycle because it would think that the bin is full and that would stop the unit from producing any ice.

My Manitowoc Neo is not pumping water up to the tray.The motor is spinning but it,s just air coming out. Any help would be appreciated.Thanks

It's probably too late, but order the water pump kit.

If I could see what the Tech was doing that would be great and it would be even better if I could hear him it was muffled and he was not speaking clearly.

i have a similar machine and it will only make one sheet of ice then it stops. any help would be appreciated. thanks
