  • The full-bath upstairs looked as bad as it smelled. We had to tear it all out and what we found was a bizarre plumbing situation. Join us as we peel back the decades of remodels to uncover the original style of this 1920's Florida Spanish Bungalow.

    The pink and green tile is so iconic Florida. I know it wasn’t original but it would be super cute if you could find new pink and green tile. Then you could get some kitschy 1950’s pink flamingo wall decor. Lol…I’m probably in the minority but I love those fifties pastel tile colors. I bought a MCM house and gutted everything around the mint green tile.

    • @CicadaAndCo
      @CicadaAndCo  3 месяца назад +1

      I’m not sure if you are in the minority or it’s us lol! Seems to be a lot of love for the green out there. We’ve lived with many pink/green/lavender vintage bathrooms in Florida our whole lives (currently have 50’s pink/grey in our rental that’s cute) but I’m ready for something more neutral lol. We’ll see how it turns out 🤷‍♀️

    I live in Australia & we didn’t have inside toilets in the 1920’s we had a pan outside which was emptied once a week buy a man in a truck, he was called the dunny man. We had to be careful of the red back spiders under the dunny lid. We also had no lights to the outside toilet we used candles or if you were lucky enough to have torch to see at night. I was born in 1952.
