I knew a guy like that in college. We were very different in approaches to life and politics and most things but we were always respectful of each other and whenever we had a conversation we always felt like we left with a better understanding of how the other person approached things and why they thought that way. Conversations with him were always uplifting. Really wish more people would take the time to try to get to know people who disagree with them rather than assuming they're trying to destroy your way of life.
