You Won’t See This If You Go | George Washington Birthplace National Monument | RVing in Virginia

In 2022 they excavated the cellar of George Washington’s birthplace. We visited this National Monument on the very last day it was possible to see the cellar…the next day they buried it again to preserve it. What timing!
We were also able to take a ranger led tour which was a rare treat for us since we often seem to miss them. We’ll be sure to plan ahead better in the future. These tours add so much to the experience!
