Can You Believe This Pony Express Station Still Exists?

We visited the Hollenberg Pony Express Station in Hanover, Kansas. Built around 1857-1858. It is the only remaining Pony Express Station still in it's original location and still the same as the day it was built. Has you step inside this station that was once a one room dirt floor, before being expanded into five rooms. You can hear the wide floor boards creak and bend.With the old wood fire stoves and assortment of artifacts from the past. You can just imagine what it was like here in the 1860s when the Pony Express riders were coming through to switch horses or to bunk down for the night.
