Fun fact : That costume was actually one of the first designs for Invincible's costume, and Bulletproof also one of the first superhero names they were considering for Mark.
"I am large, I contain multitudes" is a line from the poem Song of Myself, by Walt Whitman. It's about how the poet, or really many people, has many different ideas, facets, contradictory beliefs, etc., and thus there are many different versions of himself packed into one body.
She's Shrinking Ray, and Thula and Eve's mom, Grey Griffin is an insanely talented voice actress, Her voice is distinct to me tho, I'm used to her azula, daphne voices and even her Donna troy (Young Justice)
Robot's body is probably still like that because it's another dimension, so monster girl probably already died before he got the idea to use Rex splodes dna for Rudy.
It took me until just now to realize what Angstrom meant when he was talking about revenge. He now has all the memories of all his different selves, so he remembers all the different versions of Invincible killing everyone he loved.
That was a Mark from a different multiverse at the beginning. You can see Angstrom use a portal to rescue the Angstrom of that universe from Invincible. You can see him again at the Angstrom HQ when he shows the Maulers (he was the Angstrom looking all worried) *So don't worry, that wasn't our Mark or our universe in the beginning of the episode*
one of the Angstrom Levy's was the one we saw at the beginning which shows the viewer that those beginning events were in one of the other dimensions on a variant earth where invincible teamed up with his dad.
I feel so unbelievably bad for Mark and Debbie, I’ve never wanted to give 2 characters a hug this badly. For Mark it’s not just his father but his hero, for Debbie it’s the love of her life and the father of her child. Also, learning that according to Angstrom Levy, in most universes Invincible actually joins Omni-Man and conquers earth is actually terrifying. Especially after seeing how in the first alternate universe we saw Mark becomes as much of a cold blooded sociopath as Nolan. My theories as to how Mark could side with his father in the other universes A) He lost a loved one to a supervillain or a normal human and like Superman in the Injustice series decided that humanity needed to be ruled and so joined his father. B) Nolan told Mark the real truth about Viltrum when he was a more malleable child and convinced Mark to fight for Viltrum. Also I envy you that you didn’t have to wait as long as the rest of us for season 2!
So the only reason Mark & Omni-Man are ever good in any of the multi verses is bc of Debbie. When she's there and involved in their lives, they are good (or become good) when she's not heavily present for whatever reason, they both act like Regular Viltrumites. *Debbie is what instills Humanity in them both*
That's only one factor. Another factor is that the alternate marks might have gotten their powers at a young age, which allows Omni-Man to groom them easily into Viltrumite soldiers or come from universes where everyone is more ruthless and/or evil.
Not everyone hates Amber or even dislikes her. As usual hate, toxicity and drama are loudest and so it's understandable that's the impression you'd get. I'd say there's also a considerable dash of chauvinism latent in the unreasonable amount of hate some people show her character. That's not to say that complaints about the character are completely unjustified. There was a problem with Amber's writing in season 1 and that problem was timing. The character made sense and really was quite understanding of Mark's flaws as a boyfriend and S2 Amber isn't much different, her personality really doesn't change. It was just that one scene, the break-up scene, that didn't quite fit where it landed. That scene would have worked at any other point and not be an issue because Amber telling Mark she figured out he was Invincible weeks before and that she was done with him keeping her in the dark, done with the lack of trust, done with the excuses is entirely understandable. Even if Mark is doing good being a hero Amber being hurt and having boundaries is valid and makes sense for her character, the smart, capable, willful, emotionally intelligent, compassionate woman she was shown to be. The issue comes with the timing. When she declares she had known for some time that Mark is Invincible a timeline is drawn, a timeline where Amber knows why Mark disappears during the college attack, where she knows he is saving her, William and everyone else, but somehow at the same time a timeline where she reacts in anger and disappointment to his disappearing act. That makes no sense. And it's not like it makes no sense for the character, as I argued before in other discussions, I realize now, writing this, it makes no sense regardless of whatever character she might have had, because as I said the timing is off, that line breaks the internal logic of the events and characters. If there had been an episode or two between the college episode and the break-up, if time had passed, weeks had passed, there would be no issue, her feelings were valid, the events at the campus could have even been the catalyst for her figuring out who Mark is, but unfortunately the break-up is very clearly established to happen the next day. The scene could even have happened anywhere before the college episode and it would fit because Mark lying and being an absent boyfriend would still be true but there would be no situation breaking the fictional positioning of characters and events. I don' t know if this happened because they altered the comic's timeline somewhat to fit the show's structure and/or because they altered Amber (to the better by the way) to be a proper character and have more of a personality and presence but I'm certain it was basically an oversight when restructuring the timeline for the season which led to this unfortunate and unintended portrayal of Amber.
So the start was another dimension, we see one of the levy’s get brought through a portal in that dimension and then we see him again later when he’s with all the other versions of himself.
@@Animelon yeah, because it is not consistent with his character. if it was actually him and it only happened later on in let's say one or 2 years later..would it make sense that it is the same guy who grieved the deaths of the people who is basically a collateral damage of their last fight?

So be mad at the writing that undercut everything we were _supposed_ to get from all of the conversations through season 1 by Nolan, Cecil, Eve and William...
If the writers really wanted us to not hate Amber, Mark and Amber's relationship, the way I'd've written it is: have Mark tell her that he's late because his dad is being pretty demanding, that he has to spend time with his dad, working on... something. Not sure what. Some type of adult responsibility. So his "excuse" is 1 - actually true, just... misleading? Vague? and 2 - demonstrates that he values Amber but he can't reasonably be expected to blow off his dad for Amber, both because family but also because in a practical sense, he's still living with his dad. If you have Amber try to be understanding, but eventually she can't keep going on like that, not being able to rely on him, then breaks up with him... THEN he reveals his Invincible, and at first she's... excited? Surprised? And she realizes his reasons were even bigger than she thought, that he's actually really helping people... but then she realizes it doesn't change anything: he's still going to be unreliable because he's still going to be helping people, prioritizing that over being with her. Have her explain that to him, allow that him being Invincible, prioritizing saving lives over being on time is the "right" thing to do, that it's "unfair" for her to break up with him for that, but it's also "unfair" for her to date him just because he's a good person, that she needs him to be as attentive to her needs as she is to his, and that while him being Invincible makes it understandable that he's not able to do that... that doesn't change the fact that *he's not able to do that.* Then, he gets his ass beat by Omni-Man, she realizes she cares about him too much and she wants to try to make it work, and thinks that maybe it'll be easier now that she knows. Easy. A much better way to develop their relationship.

Her personality is so much better in season two but her season one personality leaves a shadow over her character that makes it so I can’t trust her or like her
It's not an addition of the show, it plays out the same way in the original comic. The point is that she's a 17 year old realizing she isn't the center of the universe.
I sorry but I must complain about the visibility of the show you are reacting.
25:11 season 2 has improved get character a lot. For me personally though, i can't just ask like the stupidity of amber last season didn't happen so i can't bring myself to say i really like her
I don't see how anyone think session 2 is crazier. It's def not. At least the first half yet
I hated how she acted in season 1 it was selfish
season 2 is much better
