Little nice detail: notice how Mark picks 3 plates when he goes to make dinner. He's still counting his dad in for dinner at a subconscious level
Oh yeah, I noticed. The show does a great job with the subtle subconscious ticks of its characters
Omg i was wondering why he did that, i figured it was for the sides or something, but that didn't make much sense, lol. That's actually a really good detail
That one really hurt, Mark & Deborah both love the “Idea” of their dad/husband, the person that they had, but to then realize it was an ”act”…cuts deep.
Todd hugging Mark is like the Amazing Spiderman where Flash comforts Peter after the death of his uncle.

Angstrom actually is just remembering all the other versions memorys of mark being evil as his own i dont think the real him would blame mark but his mind is messed up now.

Kinda tired of the Amber hate tbh. She literally did the right thing and went back to mark with empathy for his situation. To think that amber gets more hate than Rex is pretty messed up.
I didn’t even know there was Amber hate and I’m caught off guard. I don’t see a single reason to dislike her?

Thank You! I was a bit mad at her too the first time I watched the series but on a rewatch, I understood why she was mad. She’s not my favorite character but I think she’s pretty likable.
she didn't do the right thing when she shat on mark for trying to keep her safe. and keeping his identity hidden. the seventh episode of this season highlights exactly why having people close to you know who you really are is a danger. She got mad at him for not letting her into his world and then within a season found out the hard way why that is...
she's most people's biggest gripe with the first season, because her motivations make no sense, but all the characters act as if she's in the right
If I remember correctly, the Giant is a literal kid who has been isekaied, turned into a giant monster, taken over the world where he was transported to, and then somehow ended up back on Earth. Nice to see the studio is sticking with the minor villains from the comics rather try to make up their own. Hoping to see Omnipotus or Octoboss in the future.
Such a great premiere. This season is gonna be something special I can feel it.
Alternate reality Mark echoes season 1 OmniMan where he actually shifts the blame to the victims he himself hurts
The writing and voice acting on this show is levels above. So much talent involved. What a show.

What is their reasoning for not picking some stuff? I get it's strike related but how is this different from wheel of time? I get their is a difference between full acting and voice acting but it's the same principal, an actor giving their voice is still acting.
@@jasoncorson820it's contract specific. The current SAG-AFTRA strike is for the contracts that is for live action work in movies and shows. The contracts for actors in animation and video games are still in effect until their next end of contract and renegotiations.
@@jxchambJay is a SAG member and so they're following strike rules for SAG-AFTRA for this specific contract strike. They are talking to union rep to clear up confusion on what is allowed or not.
Animation has a different union and are not on strike, so new animated shows continue to be made and can be reviewed/promoted. Live action things made before the strikes are still being released but shouldn’t be promoted. And if you’re a union member, like Jay, you can’t promote anything.
After reading the comics, I love the structure of this series, it tells very well all the stuff in the comics but mixed with additions of the show that are great

i Still dont get the harshness towards amber like their all teenagers doing dumb things and not all of them can be perfect. Shess just a teenager trying to handle a relationship with a superhero. People act like she killed somebody or something like nothing she did was super horrible if we are actually being honest and not super protective over mark.
She was a little questionable with saying she had known after Mark told her identity. She should've said something to him right away instead, but she's a teenager as you said. Also blackmailing a bully into giving a guy your number is sus. I agree I think ppl are being too harsh, but I think there's more to it within the story the show is telling.
@@wwfnbafan Blackmailing a bully? That guy was being a dick and physically aggressive toward mark and others as well as verbally abusive. I dont really think adding that to the list is fair its not like he was a good guy. I beleive this was mentioned but she just wanted him to be honest with her which at that age means alot. It was also a trust thing. It was made a point that you dont tell someone your a hero if your not serious about them. mIf remember correctly his dad made a point about that so if thats a standard then i can see why she would feel hurt by him not telling her. It could be seen as him not being serious about their relationship in a long term sense. Also with this in mind telling a hero who is leagues stronger than you that you know their secret identity before they are ready to tell you is a terrible idea. WHo know what kind of response mark could have had if he was trying so hard to keep it a secret in the first place.

saying "shes a teenager doing dumb things" is not a good justification for the atrocious writing that amber has.

I really enjoyed the moment where Adam realized we're doing the Angstrom Levy plot straight off the bat.

I watched your invincible 1x08 reaction and loved it. It was soooo funny seeing Adams face light up when he saw Angstrom, Bulletproof and realised what the opening was
Invincible was how I first found this channel. None of my friends were watching it, and this is a show you need to share the load on. I’ve been a loyal viewer ever since.

My theory on why our Mark is different from most of the ones from different dimensions: in most realities, Omni-Man either kills or loses his wife and raises Mark alone. Deborah is an amazing parent to Mark and she deserves credit for being a badass mom.
Your theory is so good, I forgot you said it was just a theory and was about to complain about spoilers lmao. I like this idea! Deborah is definitely important to Mark's humanity.

The angstrom in the alternate one and the one that opens portals are actually 2 different guys. The clothes are different and when he shows the twins all of the angstroms you can see him in the background, aswell as when invincible shows up for the end fight the angstrom from the start actually shows and it’s him getting mad, maybe even the main reason why our current one became evil

Zazi is doing something different with her voice for the performance of Amber this season. Am I the only one who noticed it's softer this season? Loved this episode so glad the show is back! Angstrom intrigues me and what a great casting choice with Sterling K Brown!
I think they're just gonna switch lanes with Amber and act like they didn't accidentally make her horrible in the last season
@@sir.bantalot5854honestly I'm so over the "amber is terrible" thing. Like yeah, we're more likely to take mark's side because he's our main protagonist, but she's just a teenage human with flaws and motivations, and her behavior is actually pretty reasonable given what she's put up with.
She literally chastised him for going off to save lives and guilt tripped him for running away when the cyborgs attacked, even when she knew he was Invincible and that he was absolutely still there. She was downright emotionally manipulative.@@alexanderthealright

Just caught up on this show and the Atom Eve special, so I can experience this season alongside you guys.
There should be an open world Invincible game like DC Online, create your own character or play as one from the comics/tv show, I'd choose Battle Beast or create a similar character like a Samurai Tiger or something cool like that.

Great episode. I'm looking forward to see how they've adapted the next arc of Mark's story for this season of the show. Now for the pachydermus in the room...anyone else notice they are really trying to make Amber likeable? I mean, good on them for trying to course correct I guess but I'm not sure you can save her. How she acted in season one and how she did things just ruined any chance of making her into a sympathetic character.
Honestly this one's on the Mauler Twins for designing a machine so badly it spontaneously explodes when someone takes off their helmet in the middle of the sequence.

Slop Goblin here. I kind wish that Adam hadn’t read the comics as he immediately told Jay exactly what was going in the first minute and continued to tell Jay everything instead of experiencing it with him. It happens when people are excited to share tho, so still slopping it up!

I'm very intrigued to see *that* issue (regarding Angstrom) from the comics adapted, they would've had to get fair use contracts from [redacted] and [redacted] all written up, to do that issue fully. If it's changed a lot and there's no references to other stuff, it'll be alright but not quite as special. Either way, I'm so excited it's hard to hold it in.

They had started Rebels, but hadn't gotten through even season 2 is what it sounds like before they filmed all of Ahsoka.
It’s so crazy that people hate Amber with heat of thousands suns because of one scene from season 1 that even Kirkman doesn’t think was good call. People spent more than a year hating her and making video essays talking about how terrible she is. Now the show basically ignores that whole scene and she is seemingly a supportive girlfriend but people hated her for so long that they can’t let it go. It’s not like she killed anyone but people act like she murdered a bus full of children.
It will be hard to see what Mark and Debbie are going through,I feel kinda bad for Maulers too ;)

Let me explain it , she's mad because mark didn't tell her he's invincible while mark was putting his life on the line ,had his stomach opened up and beaten to a pulp in almost every fight he got in to save lives even when at the college they visited for William bf he saved their lives and she ( at this point knew it was him) got mad at him and at the party was talking to a next man while mark was fighting
That lack of empathy and thoughtfulness is why people don't like her it's a red flag
Why didn't she just say she knows its him why make him go through all that
It's toxicity and a sign to leave

Ik I'm late, but they DEFINITELY did not mention Nolan banging aliens at this point in the show (nothing is known about Nolan at this point of the show) and you definitely spoiled what would be revealed in a later episode literally SECONDS after saying you read the books 😂
Even though I (selfishly) would've loved y'all reactions to Ahsoka, Gen V and Loki Season 2, I'll gladly take Invincible Season 2.

Any chance you guys are going to watch Gen V? It's a spinoff of The Boys, but it's also integral to the ongoing storylines in The Boys and not just intended to be an isolated spinoff. It's also as good as The Boys and it's just packed with reaction-worthy moments.
