This is certainly more a sales overview than an actual product overview. It would have been great, and extremely useful, if Brandon had spoken to the residual force transmission numbers (kN) for the SeeSmart (CE1), SeeFlex CE2) and SeeSoft (CE1/CE2). It would make the choice of armour selection much easier from a safety standpoint. That said, I understand not many manufacturers, outside of SAS-TEC, actually provide residual transmission numbers, which should be mandated by federal safety organizations/governments.

I have the CE2 back protector. I installed it in a ICON jacket that had what appears to be a one-off back protector shape. That said, the REV'IT was the closest thing in shape. Because of its layered design, I was able to trim the back protector so that it fit my jacket perfectly without ruining the CE2 armour. A simple pair of scissors was all that was needed.

It'd be great to see a comparison in terms of flexibility between the various major armour types, revit seeflex/seesmart, vs D30

How does this compare to D3O?

Being 6'5" tall. I am NOT a fan of the "one size fits all" approach. From personal experience, it does not fit all.

Yeah when he said that I felt he should have worded it differently. He should have said one shape for the back protectors not one size. They still have different sizes typically 03-06

Would like to see you test the gear to show the effectiveness. A comparison between pieces/brands. Something to measure the kinetic energy delivered at point of impact vs memetic energy felt.
The fort9 channel has done something like this.

weigth ? D30 seems to be the best, but how does it compare to this product? D30 seems heavy, about 120 grams for an elbow/knee Level 2 protector. How does it compare?

The back protector shown in the video is not the RV, it is the SEESOFT AIR. It has the same shape and dimensions as the RV.

RV refers to the shape as it is REV'IT!'s shape. Older jackets in their line used to use KN (Knox) or ST (Sas-tec) shapes. RV just refers to the era of shape when REV'IT! brought the design/shape in-house.

Seesmart is the only product worth the money in the range. It's only CE Level 1, but it more than makes up for it with its low profile and flexibility. Too many people go without protection due to a combination of bulkiness, lack of flex, and/or airflow. With the Seesmart, you actually want to use it, cause you don't know know it's there. I replaced all of my knee, hip, elbow protection with them. I wish they had an equivalent back protector. The only back protector I like is Spidi's CE Level 1 one, it's light weight and has decent airflow. Most Level 2 back protectors are too bulky and/or inflexible that again, people don't use them

It is more flexible than d30? Look like IT will be more breathable than d30 tho

Yeah, it is more comparable to D3O's (somewhat) new Ghost armor. SeeSmart has been around for years and really helped shape the softer armor market though. Comparing it to traditional D3O armor makes the SeeSmart an obvious winner in comfort though.
