(SPOILER) i also disliked that he was alive till the end and went back to the real world, i mean that man will be a menace to the society but ig that's the reality.
While I agree that some people are just plain trash, I don’t like that he’s had this huge plot armor when it wouldn’t even result to his redemption arc.

I know, right!? I loved those interviews! And how ironic they were saying she really needs sneakers, when the actress was so grateful for the shoes in S2 being an improvement over the ones in S1. So yeah, they think her shoes ain't it, but she thinks they're heaven. 😝

Niragi is much more smarter and intimidating in the manga. He's basically the mvp of King of Clubs game cause he's the one who came up with main plan (which the tv series used as Arisu's plan) and got over 10.5k points for the team.
Niragi in the tv show: "So what's the plan, Arisu?"
Niragi in the manga: "Arisu, you're stupid. Here's my plan."
Kinda shame and wasted tho since Chishiya and Niragi are meant to be indirect rivals in the manga. Both share same speciality (diamonds aka intelligence) and have similarities in personalities (Chishiya attempted to burn Niragi to death simply for the account of him "reminding Chishiya too much of himself") but the problem is the show made Chishiya look like freaking Einstein in comparison to Niragi, who suddenly became something of an usual crazy dummy.
Yeah. The show stands fine on its own, but if you read the manga first there’s no comparison.

@@Quzga Absolutely, even the main story being the same, there are a lot of important aspect that differ from the manga, just an example, Chishiya doesn't even attend the prison game, it's a completely side story in the manga, and the anime have a game that don't exist in the manga

I'm really sad the show excluded these character development aspects that were in the manga. It makes such a huge difference to how deeper the story hits 😔
I get their disappointment with Arisu and the team giving up after the failed play at the base but Arisu and the King are two diametrically opposed players. The King created a plan that had equal chances at death for any individual player but saved the team. That rush only works because all players on the kings side were willing to accept death if it meant the team won.
Meanwhile, Arisu created a plan to win "without sacrifices" that looked like the kings suicide rush but wasn't.
Usagi drew one off, Arisu tazed the King, Niragi used his blood art to get pts and then became inactive to take out the remaining two defenders. Kuina would then have been free to get them their pts to win the lead, which failed when one defender recovered enough to block her and another touched the base.
Once there was one defender back on the base it was game over for the plan to win "without sacrifices" and at that moment no one on Arisu's team was willing to lay their lives on the line for the team's sake.
Love your explanation. That’s literally the biggest difference between the teams, and a defining trait of Arisu’s.

I remember going into it thinking that Arisu had the better plan, but the King team's advantage was that they weren't focused on preserving each individual member but getting the ultimate win for the team...even if it meant dying. It actually allowed them to take risks and it revealed that at its core, Arisu's plan and team were selfish...they thought they would do anything for each other to survive but it was more about preserving themselves
Can't really fault them for it though. It's not exactly a bad thing to want everyone to live.
Yeah. We have to take down the King Of Yams. That's Roshi's title. Kyuma doesn't just have cake. He has the ENTIRE bakery. And I kinda figured Niragi was still gonna be up to his old ways. Any type of bond between him and the main cast would always be, "Villain reluctantly teams up with you but lets you know he's willing to detach your spine at any moment" trope. I just wasn't sure if he'd be back to his old self or more of a, "Just because we work together doesn't mean we're friends" kind of antagonist. Guess we know now.
Kyuma (not even counting how chiseled they both are) seems very similar to Tsukasa from Dr.Stone, he's an antagonist but doesnt come off as a villain. If anything Kyuma, his team, and their friendship betters Arisu as a character.

I love Kyuma's team. They are fair yet can be brutal when tested. Kyuma taking the time to explain to Arisu (Alice) how the game works but also how teams should work too. Understanding everyone's intentions will put you at a leverage above everyone else.

Kyuma's band did pick what game the King of Clubs would be, but nothing so far implies he's the one deciding whether there are games in the first place, so I wouldn't rag on him too hard for his motivations, there's no reason to assume it's bs.
So far he's been entirely genuine, he just comes off as a himbo with a lot of experience and wisdom, which is a fun anime trope

@@currymuncher420 SPOILER INCOMING!!! Well this scene didn't make be sob, but the first instance of a scene making me sad was actually when...Kyuma dies and talks to Arisu for the final time. The scene the made me sob was the hospital scene later on when Chishiya was trying to save the boy up until the game master's choice to let Chishiya live and let himself die.

Considering the rules,if the entire band or Arisu’s team just held hands and got in a circle or sum and ran up on him,then they would all share the 10,000 loss,nobody would die,and the outcome would remain the same (They get like 20,000 points over the other team after the loss of points and gain in points or whatever)

Something I question, why didn't they just all stand at the base and touch it. So that if the kings team tries to tag them, they all can defend it with infinity points. So if all five ot the kings members tries to tag the base, they can each keep an eye on one person. Basicslly just surround the base. Anyone else thought about this or am I the only one ?

It's quite easy to keep watching this blindly and , this isn't a spoiler its wide knowledge, that arisu is a mispronounciation of Alice (alice in wonderland). Chisiya sounds like Cheshire as in the cat, and also another character will soon come up who is the march hare. Its lost in translation a bit and you can get so immersed into the action that it's useful to keep level headed with the original premise of that story.
