That video should be made by or with someone who actually knows "defense "against ground situations". Also bjj start standing and includes all of Judo. Love this. Back in college when I was training Muay Thai and boxing, I seriously underestimated how scary even someone with the basic fundamentals of grappling can be. Rolling the first time is an eye opening experience, both in how easily you can be controlled by a weaker person with knowledge, and the fact that stand up cardio doesn't necessarily translate to grappling cardio. I felt less bad about the latter when I saw a triathlete roll for the first time and look like he was ready to pass out after 5 minutes.

I trained both at the same time for years. While both are very technical, for me, I found I needed more time on the mats in BJJ to stay fresh. One thing to think on is I found that I got injured more in BJJ and they were more serious enough that stopped me from training for a week or two. I got injured in boxing quite a bit too, but never kept me from the ring. Experiences will vary.
How the fuck the creativity flows like that , 32 times in six minutes and it was pretty much constant flow to different submissions. Beautiful to watch.

Very cool video. Kudos to you Tony for being humble enough to take on this challenge and to learn a new fighting art. That said, based on my experience of having trained mma for almost 8 years and have followed the sport closely for many years, if Tony and Cyborg had to fight in mma, Cyborg would almost certainly win. There is a much greater chance that the vastly superior grappler will take down and submit a vastly superior boxer than the chance that the boxer will knockout the grappler.
These are great videos. Love the tone, humilty and respect. Well produced with heart. Boxed for years and then 3 years ago started grappling (wrestling and bjj) and even some kickboxing. Very informative, and instructional video. Cyborg is such a talented, humble man. I have to say, however, not only was you totally owned Tony, you had your arse well and truly whipped! 😆
Great you seemed to be having the time of your life though! 😃
I've been doing karate since way back in the 90's, but started doing bjj about 12 months ago. It's been a steep learning curve going from everything on the feet to everything on the floor.
Great video, super interesting to see someone like you doing bjj! I thought the guy was playin when he said 20, Im blown away
Keep the content up mate, brilliant stuff!
Great video.
Can't wait for round 2 when you stick the gloves on the big man 👍
Like the video. Trained at FS when I lived in MIA and it’s awesome. Cyborg is a beast on the mats and a really cool dude.
Fair play.. what a good point.. your incredibly humble to take yourself to the unknown and do this.. fascinating 👍🏼
These guys are the best, wholehearted good souls ... kudos.
I love to wrestle and roll. It's the inverse of learning a steiking art. You have to be open and willing to learn. And get cauliflower ear.
Trying to shave after submission 18 is always fun the next day 😂
Bravo good sir. That takes a massive amount of humility to start a new style as a beginner once you've mastered your own.
This was really cool to see. I admire your courage to dive into a new martial art🙌🏽
Thank you 🙏🏼 Appreciate it ma man
These videos are awesome and it seems you are really enjoying bjj I've done bjj for 2 months now and I have done muay Thai for 3 years and it's cool to see your dedicating some of your time to another martial arts when your already a champ in one it's really inspiring
Congratulations for video. Amazing
Great work for getting in there. Showed great spirit.
cheers mate
thanks for posting Tony
To be fair he didn't let you get up abd restart after each submission.
He would start from an advantageous position 99% of the time. Typically after you tap a guy you stabd up and start over
Big fan of yours and Cyborg. Beautiful idea 💡 to film this video ❤
Enjoyed every minute watching this and appreciate the boxing tips. Thank you
Man those end words are something else, you guys are such legends
Love your videos, please keep going!
Such a positive person with good energy!
