- How is it possible these 2 things are different? Well it’s possible, today we are talking about placing blocks.. that’s all.. so simple those things MUST be the same right? WRONG! Even placing blocks is different between Java and Bedrock edition in Minecraft. In today’s Parity Check video, we will dive into these differences and explore exactly how they are different, and see who has the best way of doing it!
Welcome to Java vs Bedrock Parity Check. This series is about investigating and testing parity differences between the 2 versions of Minecraft, and discussing if we think the difference is due to a bug, some sort of miscommunication or oversight, or if it’s intended. I will also discuss which version I think has it right and should be the correct way of doing it. It’s just an opinion though, feel free to give yours below, and this isn’t about which version of Minecraft is better, but rather trying to get both versions of Minecraft to be as similar as possible! @@Eh......... Wither forced me to get better at the game, same way the Wall of Flesh did in Terraria. I always play on hard mode/master mode in those games now
When I want to cook eggs I just spawn a wither, he does a great job of turning my phone into a frying pan.
Seeing this side by side just shows how much more difficult Bedrock is, especially when it comes to boss mobs. Have you checked out the difference between Java and Bedrock phantoms? Java phantoms are so easy to defeat. Very weak attacks. Bedrock phantoms can kill you.
I feel like the mobs on Bedrock are just overall harder

@@kermitdathug3953 also the nether. Ghasts just keep spawning in groups of 2-3 no matter how many times killed and just lots of mobs. Bf was a java player till he had to start bedrock cause I play on ps4 and was like jesus christ your nether is insane

Turn off tile drops it'l prevent wither from breaking blocks and turning them into entity drops which causes the lag

Tile drops are basically the drops of block that has been broken either by a player or an explosion or wither.
Entity drops are the drops are the drops of entity that has been killed.
Both has each on and off switch in settings .
SO TRUE. I've beaten the wither 5 times in my "hardcore" world (hard mode with 1 life) and only have 4 beacons because my nether star burnt, can totally relate

Hah, for real! I think I saw the first wither fight on his channel and he made it seem like it was the hardest thing in the world. But, being a hater, and knowing that haters gotta hate... I am pretty annoyed with Wattles. He put out some misinformation about 1.17 ore distribution. The entire video was false, and he released the video days after the patch came out to fix this issue. He put a comment saying that it was fixed, but people don't always read comments before watching a video. For the next month I got alerts from other people commenting, "I'm mining at y5 and can't find diamonds!". I am pretty sickened that he cares more about the views than being accurate. I'm a grown man and fairly technical so it's not like he wasted much of my time. But I don't even play Java and I am able to keep up with releases better than someone who literally gets paid to produce content. He wasted hours of peoples time, in addition to the wasted 30 minutes of watching his video... I can't imagine Prowl or any other Tubers being so dismissive of their viewers.
Sorry for the long rant, I'm not half as worked up about it as you might think. I just think it's a douchebag move to knowingly mislead people because you took an extra week to put up the same content that was already covered before the fix was put out. I do understand editing videos can be time consuming, but they can't all be winners.
Dang, ok. End rant, I think I'll go have a nice relaxing wither fight to settle my nerves. 😂

@@dirtylabrat958 just a thought he does actually say allegedly all the way through and also says it's a small sample size that he did and also alot of people had already made 1.17 world's and loaded chunks in so maybe it's meant for them. At the end of the day it wasn't false information diamond generation was affected in both Java and bedrock.

I LOVE how Bedrock's Wither is more dangerous then Java's. Its hilarious when you think about it but it might motivate Java to try Bedrock a little (:
Some of the complaints that bedrock gets is that it's harder when it comes to mobs, mob and resource farms, and redstone. I think java players are just happy with their easy version.
@@35PHaaton yeah, a more harsher environment, it's probably why bedrock doesn't get Hardcore Mode, we have slow health regeneration, hunger bars drain fast when you sprint jump (Like Java players do a lot), axes are weaker than swords, and much more.
Both have their own purposes it seems. Like Java's redstone is much better, and modding is much more supported there (not that modding doesn't exist on Bedrock).

@@jaypaint4855 Also Health regeneration is very slow in bedrock so you have to be more careful plus it gives potions more use, in Java the health regeneration is real fast that it looks like someone just ate a golden apple.
For a head on wither fight, regeneration splash potions and arrows do alot of damage to it. Honey does well to remove the wither effect, and a smite V sword will kill him ridiculously fast even on hard mode. To make it even easier, use a trident with riptide and fight him over open water.
He's talking about instant health pots or arrows not the regeneration effect. I do find the riptide strat interesting. Im going to test this strat in a world.
I was considering over the ocean with frost walker boots.
@@mikekelly1771 My first successful wither fight was using frost walker boots around a small island, since there was way too much lag from broken blocks when I tried to fight underground (before update that allowed broken blocks to stack). If you're also using iron golems, you can attach leads to them to bring them back to the surface in between withers.
Honey does not remove the wither effect, only poison
Not only some of the words you said are caps, it seems that you haven't fight the wither yet.
The one thing I want them to bring from Java to Bedrock is being able to hear the screech it makes after its summoned in ALL dimensions. That would make it seem so much scarier too.
If you're not on a top notch PC, good luck even attempting to fight the wither underground. Xbox One can't handle the block lag after a few of those charge attacks and then you're dead before you even see it coming. I can't imagine how impossible it is on mobile. 💀
I did it on an average mobile and the lag was fine.
I fought it a day ago underground on Xbox with no lag I can't speak for others tho

@@sarahplagens6172 it's only been improved a little bit, I can barely break blocks with a pick axe without it lagging the block i just broke, back again, I had to swap to pc, xbox just doesn't have the processor power to handle minecraft, even if it is just basic stuff.
@@Striker66577 hmm, I don't have much trouble with basic Minecraft. Until I build myself a decent PC, Xbox is my best option.
The fact that most java players have to glitch the wither to kill it, when its 3x easier that the bedrock wither AND THEY ARE ON PC which is much easier that console or mobile.

Lol! Wither fighting experiences 🤣 You mean the death-loops you get stuck in if you aren’t actually prepared to fight the wither on bedrock?
A few tips:
Buils an arena at Y=5.
Stage 1. Use healing 2 arrows. Have a couple hallways ready to duck into and drink milk as needed.
Stage 2. Use potions of strength and turtle master. Riptide trident to close the distance and a smite sword when you are close enough. Need a layer of water in the arena for this to work.
Y-15 has less lava :)
Wither can break water using the dash.

The single most powerful attack in the game is actually the axe attack of brutes and vindicators on hard difficulty, dealing 19 damage (9,5 hearts), but yeah, in easy and normal the dash attack is stronger
I almost got ooted out my boots by a vindicator that ended up in the nether yesterday. He was like "SURPRISE! 🪓"
That is in java due to combat update axes are stronger but not in bedrock it does 4 and half hearts,
@@AURNAB_Pro no, it has nothing to do with that, but I tested it now and indeed there is some difference. Vindicators do the 19 damage on hard, but brutes only deal 15 damage. In java both deal 19 (according to the wiki, I don't play java)
I’m a Java player 100%. I learned redstone there, I played on soft modded servers (the ones with fancy plugins that basically made it modded), and not only have I played modded, I’ve made my own so Java is definitely my homeland. So when I started playing bedrock with a few of my friends, i wasn’t prepared to forget everything I’d ever learned. Everything. Is. Different. Redstone did a 180, servers have a lot more… well, everything. Even simple gameplay is so different, that when i was in the middle of placing down the wither blocks telling my buddies to hop down to my strip mine, they were all screaming madness and how could I unleash this beast so close to our base! I didn’t realize the wither would f*ck everything and give our world a cave update of its own!
I play on Nintendo switch alot. I tried fighting the wither and the amount of blocks he destroyed made so much lag I could barely move let alone fight him.
Forgot one very important tip, start at dawn and kill it as fast as you can, you see how the sky darkens? If you fight that thing overnight the undead mob that spawns won't get burned by the sun
I 100% agree with this; Java needs to Bedrock Wither. One thing that I also thought was a difference was how the Wither II effect seemed to just never end on Bedrock Edition where on Java it only lasted a few seconds; maybe they changed it, but this was one of the reasons that Bedrock players fought the Wither with Milk Buckets while Java players would load up on Strength, Night Vision, and Regeneration potions. Maybe that has changed.
no. java has hardcore mode. so implementing this wither difficulty from bedrock would actually lead to imbalanced gameplay and obviously no one would dare to get a beacon.

Pixlriffs did...we Java players know about this issue. Logicalgeekboy once tried a bit of a challenge in Java by fighting three withers out in the open at the same time. Yeah...Java is different.

I haven’t been brave enough to tackle my first either yet. 😂 I just fought my first dragon recently and I feel like I need more prep time for the big guy. May have to think about upgrading to the Windows 10 version too… not sure my iPad can handle the strain of all those blocks lol.

I intend to do this in a few weeks. The wither is the ultimate boss fight in BE which I have done many times, but I've never tried it in JE. I'm curious to see how much easier it is.
Proof how powerful the bedrock wither actually is: While you are near him in the overworld, the sky turns grey and has the same effect as rain, it makes monsters not killable by the sun.
Does anyone remember when the bedrock wither could break blocks when just moving around? I always struggled above ground or even underground because it would float up or down breaking hundreds of blocks. Note that this was before you could turn tile drops off
You need to consider that in bedrock tipped arrows are easier to do, and if you use it you destroy the wither pretty fast
I'm going to try this next time I fight the Wither. Arrows of Healing II should be pretty good...

I started playing Minecraft July this year, bedrock version cause PS4. This week I beat the wither on my own, so proud 8) much prefer bedrock challenge than java. Also enjoy your videos and bluejays as well. Keep up the good job. Helped lots with learning the game
Eta. The best way to fight the wither for me personally is on water with frost walker. You can control the situation better than randomly having blocks be blown up under you. I recommend trying
It’s just so hilarious how different the Wither is on Java, it’s so easy, I only once fought and beaten the wither on Bedrock Version and that was somehow a different fight back then, somehow they didn’t coded in that wither could 100% break obsidian, then a year and haft later it was fitted and I died right away because I’m bad at fighting, now I just use a wither killer,
I don’t ever seeing Java getting our Wither as a lot of players don’t want it too change, and I find that isn’t following the parity guidelines,
I sort of hope they don’t update the wither that much on, or they at least allow for some way to tame it, as it might break a lot of wither cages and farms in Java

What is the background music you are using?
Someone spawned a bunch of withers in a Realm I'm in on bedrock, I only managed to kill 3 of them but there are still too many so I moved to the nether and now I live near a fortress, I fought them using my best horse to avoid getting hit, use healing 2 arrows with a bow/crossbow that does more damage, if your device isn't strong enough you're gonna lag a lot, first wither destroyed my hobbit hole causing so much lag on my device, I was only lucky to kill it.

The Easy Mode Obsidian Wither Cage on Bedrock is a great way to get Nether Stars but there's no fight in it whatsoever.
yeah the bedrock wither will erase your small obi cube cage when its at half hp take this advise from a experienced player its just impossible when its any where unless its glitched in the bedrock trap under the dragon perch
@@mrmrfartmanyeet2077 No it won't. In Easy mode the Bedrock Wither has no obsidian breaking abilities at all. Look up a video by Silentwisper about 'Easy Wither Cages'.
Edit: I forgot to mention that I've done it four times recently with no problems right next to my main base at surface level.

The bedrock Wither has always been harder to beat, it’s the first Wither battle I ever had. At the time I was playing both versions and was shocked to find the Java one so easy. So come on Java players, come beat the Bedrock Wither in an open fight...
Why is everyone after Wattles doing a Bedrock Wither fight, he started out on Bedrock as far as I know and is fully aware of the capabilities of the Wither 🤣🤣 I’d love to see someone like Mumbo Jumbo take on the Bedrock Wither ... he genuinely doesn’t get how bedrock works.

I beat the wither fair and square the first time I fought it and that's all the hair I need on my chest. Now I cheese it each and every time. No unnecessary negativity on my realm... 😂

Golden Apples work well instead of milk. Let’s you keep a Strength potion running.
Don't even try to take on the wither in your mobile version. In the second phase, it is just invincible.
My phone is in the low end of the spectrum. So it only gives 5 fps max in the second phase.
I believe its immune to projectiles in the second phase. Use a smite V netherite sword or axe with efficiency. Dont remember why efficiency helps but it does.

In bedrock edition you can deflect the blue wither sculls and it will do extra damage to the wither so its balanced.
As if it's that easy
Amongst the peak chaos and skulls flying from all directions, and the wither flying around the full area, you won't have that focus to deflect skulls
And they mostly go towards ground

So I am a mcpe player and you know mobile does not have right click like pc so it's hard to fly a Elytra from the ground because to fly a Elytra we have to hold the screen for a time which makes it harder, so do you have a easy way to fly Elytra in mcpe

Ikr I play bedrock and I swear you could have all the best stuff and a whole stack of golden apples milk and totems of undying, everything that could help you and yet you will die almost every time no matter what you have
The wither REALLY hates horses! I usually cheese the wither in the end with a broken portal, but it glitched out last time I tried, I fought it in an air battle but lost it as it climbed past y500. Decided to "fix" the cheese machine but a second one for loose. A necessary block was missing.. Anyway, started fighting the second one and the first decided to join in. I used a dozen milk buckets, popped only one totem and managed to come up with a good strategy of using the elytra to launch myself toward the wither, immediately switch to sword immediately after using a rocket and smack him real good with the help of strength 2 potions. I setup a beacon and fight a third one in only a fraction of the time. The second phase is easiest because it tends to stay lower and you can sometimes get 2 or 3 hits on it at once. Maybe the beacon is still cheese but even with that is still way stronger than Java so I don't feel bad. At the end of the day, how much effort do you want to put in for a lamp. Only need 1 or 2 beacons for mining, but why have 1 when you can have 100? Cheese 4 Life!
I'm 2 - 0 vs the wither. Haven't hit him yet.. but most importantly, he hasn't hit me yet 😁
Skipy 6s ender dragon fountain works still, you just have to move the wither spawn blocks set up up one and add a third block to the fountain itself. Someone commented the revisions better than I just tried ☺
Whenever that happens I switch to peaceful mode.
Even at the beginning of the fight, you can see that you have to mentally prepare yourself for the bedrock version lol
Me and my friend tried to fight the wither on my realm with maxed netherite armour and a smite 5 sword and max bow and we got it down to half but the lag from all the blocks crashed our games and it was like negative 20 fps so it was like impossible. If you fight wither do it above ground and turn it to easy or normal if you want.

If you’re on BE, the wither is the real boss fight not the ender dragon. I’m a BE player and I’ve only ever died to the ender dragon once and it’s because I didn’t bring my feather falling boots and ran out of the potions. Also if Java players take this challenge, PLAY ON A CONSOLE and not your beast of a pc.
I play bedrock and all I do is fight it over the ocean dolphins tend to get hit so they try to help battle and when they die book wither rose.

@@10thDoctorWhoovez as long as it doesn't go to the viod then yeah, its very open and has barely any mobs. Ednstone is also very hard to destroy by explosion thus lowering block drop lag

I'm sure that it does more damage. Bedrock will kill you if you don't drink milk. Maybe it's just the difference in how saturation heals you nearly instantly in java.
In hard mode it will last long enough to kill you, in lower difficulty it'll last less time
