Aye Murray we have already discussed the issue. As for your navigation from the summit… it is 200degrees from the remains of granny mc glumphit then 319 degrees from uncle jimmies remains to pick up the main path… who would have thought the final resting place would have been the sump if your indesit washin machine😂

I do understand your feelings about the ashes. But to take a positive, if there is one, they were like.y the ashes of somebody or maybe a dog, that loved the hills and the outdoors. Somebody had the respect to put the ashes there. But you are right, more thoughtful scattering would be better. Another fine video, thanks.

The unpleasant surprise at the top, not what we were expecting😳. We have lost many loved ones ourselves, and appreciate that it is important to scatter ashes at a place that was special to that person, but we can't understand why they would be placed in the summit cairn rather than scattered in the wind or even buried in the earth 🤔. Anyway, it didn't seem to put Lexi off her sausage rolls!😆🐾. Fantastic video as always, loved the deer on the hillside in the evening🦌👌.

I thoroughly enjoy your videos, Murray, which have motivated me to get back into the hills after too many years. Inspired by your latest video I have just returned from a very enjoyable ascent of Glas Maol in perfect weather conditions with not a soul in sight. This route is quick, easy and perfect for a half day/evening stroll. The climb from Glen Isla via the Monega Pass is also excellent but is longer and has more of a wilderness feel to it. A bike is useful to save some time at the start/finish.
I share your distaste for piles of ashes on summit cairns although I do understand the urge to leave the mortal remains of a loved one on top of a favourite mountain. Perhaps a better compromise would be to allow them to be dispersed in the breeze.
