I'd like to add: when you get fundaments, try to unlock the Awesomeshop ASAP and get the Concrete Foundations, it saves a lot of resources right at the beginning and the Iron Plates can be saved for different types of research or recipes :D
101: When you discover a new node, don't hand mine it. Build an equipment workshop and make 4 or 5 portable miners and make them do the work for you 102: When you discover a new resource, build another MAM right there and start researching it right away. 103: Mark out new locations like nodes by running power lines to them. You're probably going to need it soon anyway
i do that last one all the time because i LOVE the power line zipline thingy, it's so much fun even if we dont plan on building somewhere ill sometimes setup up the power line as we go just to make fast travel back easy
Any tips in your experiences on when you'd consider a certain factory complete? I understand the concept of the game is to rebuild and in a sense midmax, but is there a certain amount of resources you get per minute when you can hang up the phone and call it complete? For example, I make 20 reinforced plates per minute. Is that enough for late game components? Or will be the time I hit end game need like 50 plates per minute etc? I feel like I have a good set up so far, but I worry I'll have to remake and decorate my factory all over again because I'll need more reinforced plates etc.
I guess everyone will have a different response with this because there isn't a correct answer. With so many alternative recipes, there is always a different way to create more of a certain item in various regions across the map. If you are truly worried about not making enough, remember you can keep your original setup and use power shards to overclock machines, miners and belts can be upgraded. If that still isn't enough, then venture out to a new area and build a new factory for that item. You can always transport it around the map
Pro Tip. You have 10 action bars... not just 1 Simply hold Alt+Mouse Wheel up or down to cycle through. The number will change to let you know which action bar you're currently on.
Tip 101. Just put the hostiles on peaceful and enjoy it as a factory building game and if you want to fight there are better games out there doing exactly that. The enemies in this game are boring and annoying at best. Love the game though 👌
5 years of playing and I don't think I've ever made a gas mask. I just sprint through the gas and spam the NUT ...and then come back with bombs once I have sulfur
I do like to spam a good nut from time to time. This approach always reminds me of Let'sGameItOut sitting in the underworld using an endless number of inhalers as a diving respirator to fend off the void.

I picked this game up when it released on steam and then forgot about it until 1.0 was announced. This is a very helpful video

Hey man, thanks for the info. I'm reaching 100 hours in the game and a third of this tips i had no idea existed. Keep up with the good work!
Dont forget! You can brefriend the Lizard Doggos, and they will generate random items, including all variations of Power Slugs!
@@HauntedScourge so true! I was torn between this and a comedic way to end the video! 😅
perfect for beginners and returning players (:

Spaghetti builds may not be the most aesthetic or efficient but they have a certain unique charm to it
