Amazing that it got to you in such great shape, from ebay. Sounds excellent. I bet that later white-finish turntable matches the exterior more than the original. I got a similar unit (with different finish) from ebay also, and amazingly enough, it survived the trip.
That record reminds me alot of Boots Brown and his Block Busters, especially the sax. Not sure about the States but in the UK Boots was issued on RCA records.
THE WHITE CHANGER 1966 MODEL, ONLY YEAR MADE THAT WAY. HOW DO YOU CLEAN THAT WHITE RUBBER MAT? WHAT TYPE OF UNIT DID IT COME OUT OF? NEVER SEE THESE EVER ON EBAY RECENTLY AS PULLED ITEMS. LOOKING FOR A DECENT ONE, NEVER WILL FIND ON EBAY ,WHERE ELSE I NEED TO BUY ONLINE,AND NEED THINGS SHIPPPED,NO LOCAL EVER WHERE I LIVE,NOBODY EVER HEARD OF MAGNAVOX THAT OLD. A FANCY PIECE MODEL
I have a changer with that type of spindle that has a hole in the bottom end and a strange spring that produces back tension so the inner spindle retracts and goes back out. See if the spindle isn't slightly askew
I'd like to put that exact model changer in my big stereo armoire. Great video, and I love The Blob!
