    Nice to see someone get the progression right! So many people think it's an A minor at the top but it's A major.

    I always loved the sound of this song. The Ventures were a cool band back in the 60s. Too bad I can't do the drum solo, lol.

    I tried A G F E chord guitar but not sound retham play from u playing guitar

    to my ear, it sounds better with A minor as the first chord. hmmm.

    I think the 1st chordshould be Am

      So I listened carefully to (and watched) the Ventures doing this. To me it sounds like in the introduction, they are playing A Major, but once the verse starts with the lead guitar playing the melody, then it's A MINOR. Which makes sense because otherwise the melody (which features the minor 3d - C natural, as posed to C Sharp) would clash with an A Major. Check it out, you can hear and see them change from playing A Major in the intro to A Minor during the verses.

    Why are you rushing A section the chord progression here it's the most difficult part to learn ? You lost me right there
