@@jimmyberubelevesque2557 Air tests are great for a systems check (for your own detector) and for basic VDI....The ruler is pointless. Very basic detecting stuff here.

Hello friend its the quickest way from getting it out the box to getting to hear tones over a few differdnt metals and gives a rough id the depth chart is really only to watch for vdi changes thanks for watching
Dose the ferrous check only work in the first 4 or 5 inches on an air test be interesting to see live targets will probably be 3 or 4 in the ground kind of disappointing considering they were making it out as a new feature the machine is getting good depth mind you

Garret Apex you are looking at 10/12" max depth on gold n silver with its smaller standard viper coil and 14-16" on everything else. So it holds up quite well against the legend especially on the beach for half the cost. If you are on a budget. Not bad for a standard coil. I do plan to buy a legend though too.

Looks impressive. I've had my simplex since it first came out and I really like it. The vdi as we know is hit and miss so I mostly go by the tones but the legend appears to have a pretty stable vdi even at depth. Do you reckon it's a big step up from the Simplex and could you do a video on a beach hunt (rather than a depth test?) Your videos have always been very informative. Cheers Mike

Yes it us a bit heavier than the simplex if you ever swung ine if them but i use a harnes with all machines i use so takes the weight off thanks for watching 🏴😁

The machine looks good for the price was bit sceptical about the fero check from the start probably better use to give you an idea for shallow targets

We should rename "air test" to air signaling since it doesn't "test" anything.
It tests gain circuit at default sens as a reference point, also simulates max depth in very low mineral soil as tested over and over by Tom Dankowski
