I like the idea that Akuma is fighting completely starved.
If you look at his body fat, he is so lean he is ONLY muscle, meaning the dude is likely famished, so him eating is basically giving him full power.
It's scary and sad when you think about it. His drive to power is harming him. But hes so blind to it he DONT CARE
so the only way you can get his AA Lv 2 and his Lv 3 Counter is… Taunting? fuck.
Best you could probably get is 1 bar if you do it right after a good DI stun 🫠 or the opponent is a bro and lets it rock
Probably canon. In world tour, he tells you that he only eats the bare minimum he needs to survive.

Akuma originally was always pretty hardcore but never so much he was willing to starve himself.
Im sure he's thinking he will reach Nirvana or something like that by living only whit the bare minimum and nothing more and exist to become stronger.

@@brendonohagan1946 From what I've seen a lot of fighting games tend to have that. A character will have a unique ability or taunt that does something really cool, but takes like a year and a half to actually activate, so it's like... Why is it even there? Lmao. It may as well be an Easter egg.

Well, he gets to use it again, and it's only 2 bars, so it's pretty scary. Though I'm guessing you can block it this time unlike in SVC Chaos. Else it'd be more broken than the Raging Demon.

Rice ball is the source of the shin akuma version, not him taking the fight seriously.
More likely, Akuma fights completely starved and weakened, look at his body fat, the dude is likely famished, eating literally gives up his full power.

@mappybc6097 Ryu's journey of fighting the satsui-no-hado has lead him toto the point where fighting Akuma isn't as intimidating anymore, win or lose Ryu can laugh it off because he can enjoy the fight fully. Which pisses off Akuma sees Ryu nolonger views their fight as a life and death struggle, but as another sparring match.
Alternatively Ryu figured out from Akuma's bestie Elena that his K/D ratio is so actual trash, he's harmless

Akuma eating is such a weird visual to me. Like, I know he has to eat something to survive, but him eating regular food almost seems too human for him
So by completely eating his big @$$ Onigiri (Japanese rice ball 🍙) he gains 2 new Supers and one of it returns from the 3rd Strike "Kongo Kokuretsu Zan" eh?!

i think you got a total of 3 moves, you forgot to mention the double hadoken midair thingy
So when your spamming buttons during his back taunt make sure you're holding DOWN. That was the missing piece for me

It takes way too long to use it in a match without getting interrupted so unless your opponent agrees to letting you use it it will never happen

It looks like he was pulling his left hand back to prepare the strike and kept his right hand in front of him. I'm not a fighter so i have no idea if that's a thing some forms do. Even after the cut to his left side, you can still see that his right hand is outstretched.

If I’m playing against an Akuma and they have the balls to do that long ass taunt, I’m going to let them finish.
Its more of an easter egg, to make it so there’s technically a way to play as Shin/Boss Akuma, but only if your opponent is okay with it.
I imagine it's for Akuma Combo exhibition videos (even if you can't realistically do them)
