The most telling point in the entirety of these recordings is something so simple that it's easy to miss how it's so profound... DEPP: "You won't let me leave." That sentence by Depp is compelling evidence in that it shows the depth of control & Machiavellian level manipulation perpetrated by Heard in their relationship. It shows that Depp feels powerless to even get up & leave his home! It shows that Heard is the one who wields power & control in their relationship.
Becuase people with BPD truly believe they are right in these situations, she actually believes these tapes will help her bc she can't understand what she has done wrong.

Many empathetic people have suffered abuse from early age. Unfortunately, many abusers have too. This is the legacy of the cycle of abuse. If you abuse your children, they can either grow up to be abusers, or to be the abused. Sociopathy is ingrained into a child’s character early on, and AH is the perfect example. JD is like me. I’m soft, and I’m often my own worst enemy because I try to find the best in everyone. I’m not as soft as I age, but that’s just wisdom of life.

From one who experienced daily mental/psychological and verbal abuse, I feel for Johny. The barage of this and that and the twisting of words you know is sick brings you sometimes to the brink of losing your sanity because it's just so insane and they are slowly robbing your soul until you are in their absolute 100% control.
Anyone who's ever been a victim of domestic violence KNOWS that you would never EVER beg your abuser to NOT walk away and leave during a heated argument. You would be absolutely relieved that your abuser walked away to cool down instead of being violent and abusive towards you...but we hear this manipulative liar, over and over again, beg him not to leave her. We hear her tell her "abuser" how much stress it causes her when he leaves her during a heated argument. This vile woman is continuously spitting in the face of real DV victims around the world.
I was in an abusive relationship between the ages of 16 and about 32. I'm not proud to say that I have much experience in this realm. It's just NOT how it works, ever. In nearly 20 years time, I never once begged my ex to stay and finish an argument...EVER. It makes absolutely no sense at all. I would never behave so calmly if my ex was menacingly waving a knife around. I would never cry and scream about how him leaving is killing me. Of course, I realize that every human experience varies but all perpetrators of domestic violence are eerily similar in behaviors. What's more is that these behaviors are a pattern in their life...if they abused you then guarantee that they also abused other partners and loved ones in their life. I don't believe for a second that she is a victim of domestic abuse and S.A. at his hands. Actually the opposite...when I hear these recordings and I see her testimony at whatever that hearing was where she's casually eating cookies, she bears a striking resemblance (the gaslighting, the acting, the narcissism, the manipulation, the rapid fire/talking over others, the attitude, all of it) to the man that tormented me for so many years. I believe he was toxic in the relationship as was she, so together they fanned the flames of that toxicity...but I do not believe her claims of physical abuse and S.A. for one second. She's not as good of an actress as she believes herself to be. Sorry for the rant.

It just sickens me to the core that this double standard between men and women still exist in the justice system and in society. All it takes is for a woman to accuse a man of abuse of any sort and that man is absolutely guilty until proven innocent and crucified in the media. Even if the man is eventually found innocent, that stain never ever goes away. But if a man accuses a woman, it takes years and more money than most of us even see in a lifetime to even attempt to get some semblance of justice. @kwi I am not going to take sides on this one and especially so as I have not yet listened to A.H.'s side of the story. However, I remain resolute that proving that someone has personality disorders or that they are not always kind or honest does not prove JD's case for alledged defamation against him in the op-ed written by AH in the Washington post in 2018 which is , in fact, what this case is about. I honestly wonder if some people are losing sight of what this case is about although I can certainly understand the outpouring of emotions and opinions in this instance. Ultimately and for the sake of his children I truly wish that they had the good sense to have settled this matter privately.

5:15, Johnny is 100% correct. Amber is a textbook example of Borderline Personality Disorder. This whole trial has been a case study on how damaging BPD can be (for the person afflicted and everyone else in their life) when left unchecked and untreated. this by no means justify her abusive behavior towards Depp, but she clearly needs intensive therapy to even have a chance at undoing the decades of enablement and pathological behaviors, so I hope this trial is a wake up call to start that process

I would say she's more NPD rather than BPD. BPD sufferers have more empathy and can be genuinely kind but they do have abandonment issues and can be very clingy. They are also usually at least a little self reflective and generally eventually are open to getting better through help. NPD sufferers are way more controlling, power mad, self important and deliberately exploit others for their own benefit. Its also very unlikely they will ever seek help or change.

I was in an abusive relationship between the ages of 16 and about 32. I'm not proud to say that I have much experience in this realm. It's just NOT how it works, ever. In nearly 20 years time, I never once begged my ex to stay and finish an argument...EVER. It makes absolutely no sense at all. I would never behave so calmly if my ex was menacingly waving a knife around. I would never cry and scream about how him leaving is killing me. Of course, I realize that every human experience varies but all perpetrators of domestic violence are eerily similar in behaviors. What's more is that these behaviors are a pattern in their life...if they abused you then guarantee that they also abused other partners and loved ones in their life. I don't believe for a second that she is a victim of domestic abuse and S.A. at his hands. Actually the opposite...when I hear these recordings and I see her testimony at whatever that hearing was where she's casually eating cookies, she bears a striking resemblance (the gaslighting, the acting, the narcissism, the manipulation, the rapid fire/talking over others, the attitude, all of it) to the man that tormented me for so many years. I believe he was toxic in the relationship as was she, so together they fanned the flames of that toxicity...but I do not believe her claims of physical abuse and S.A. for one second. However, I remain resolute that proving that someone has personality disorders or that they are not always kind or honest does not prove JD's case for alledged defamation against him in the op-ed written by AH in the Washington post in 2018 which is , in fact, what this case is about. This whole trial has been a case study on how damaging BPD can be (for the person afflicted and everyone else in their life) when left unchecked and untreated. this by no means justify her abusive behavior towards Depp, but she clearly needs intensive therapy to even have a chance at undoing the decades of enablement and pathological behaviors, so I hope this trial is a wake up call to start that process

Yeah, these are text book signs of BPD (Borderline Personality disorder) They go from super happy to angry to depressed back to happy in 6 seconds. Also the fear of abandonment came through in this clip. Even though Johnny just wanted to leave for a couple of hours to cool off, she saw it as abandonment.

It's eerie how people with BPD treat their significant others the exact same way. It truly is a mental disease and people like this need serious help. So much of this is EXACTLY how my ex behaved and word for word things she said to gaslight and control everything. Monsters all of them.

damn not all of them are monsters. There a quite much people with BPD who are wonderful and lovely souls. Has a lot to do with self reflection.

I would say she's more NPD rather than BPD. BPD sufferers have more empathy and can be genuinely kind but they do have abandonment issues and can be very clingy. They are also usually at least a little self reflective and generally eventually are open to getting better through help. NPD sufferers are way more controlling, power mad, self important and deliberately exploit others for their own benefit. Its also very unlikely they will ever seek help or change.
