Coventry had a very decent side back then. Aloisi was a very good player that did not get the recognition he deserved at Coventry but turned out to be a very important international player for Australia. That was one of Coventry's best strips. I liked the circle on the back containing the number also the mix of coloured stripes. Very stylish.

@@jonathancole833 To be fair there have been instances where the FA/FL have taken the issue of a colour 'clash' to the extreme - Probably never better illustrated than the 1970 FA cup final and subsequent replay - Chelsea v Leeds Utd.
Both teams as we know wear white socks as part of their first choice strips but in one game Leeds wore red socks and the other, Chelsea wore yellow socks.
But then you look at any Manchester derby game from the 1960's and most of the '70's (and most probably the decades before) and both teams always wore white shorts.

@@apathyintheuk265 It seems that the authorities are hot on colour clashes concerning shirts and socks, not so much shorts.

Jeffrey Holmes, well you’ve only ever managed it once in your club’s entire history at villa park & very rarely manage it at all.
We saved the best till last 5th May 2001, 0-2 down at half time Merson scores a worldie villa win as usual & relegate the sky blues priceless...
