I was there with my daughter's mum. She's very ill but we never forget this boxing day at Highfield Road 26th December 1999/20. Thierry Henry Marc Overmars Freddie Ljungberg Lee Dixon Tony Adams Nwankwo Kanu Emmanuel Petit David Seaman Davor Suker. Coventry City's Gary McAllister 6th minute Mustapha Hadji 40th Arsenal's Freddie Ljungberg 67th Coventry City's Robbie Keane wonder goal 72nd Arsenal's consolation goal Davor Suker 87th. Coventry City 3-2 Arsenal. Never won a away game but 12 wins out of 19 home matches secured 14th place, Arsenal runners-up Manchester United champions. Good old days 💙⚽
I remember watching this game Boxing Day 10yrs old. It was nail biting stuff for a young city fan. McAllister Hadji Chippo were class Keane was a natural goalscorer I loved him at City. Seaman had a shocker here! We did well at Highfield rd that season shame we never won an away game I think that was a sign we would go down following season
Coventry 1999-2000. One of my favourite team of all time.

The good old days *sigh*
Seaman in peak 2002 form here, eh? Looks like a drunk stumbling home home on that Hadji goal!

Well we lost McAllister and Keane. Roussel had injury problems he never really recovered from.
I was there watching as a Coventry fan
lol that Suker goal needs a replay, incredible stuff.
+Matthew Spillane Nope. Keane's goal was WAY better. Never seen a goal like it since!
my sons 1st game and still a huge fan .pusb
This was our best ever side. Shame we didn't keep boateng and Dublin for this period as we would have done very well indeed
That's when we had a home at highfield rd .
GARY MC WAS INSTRUMENTAL FOR LFC TREBLE IN 2001 A JEWEL FOR COVENTRY TOO😊😊😊
5 awesome goals..
shame Coventry didn't keep this team or team like it they look formidable. they sadly went down the season later.
4:08 is one of the most amazing goals I have ever seen.
Because thé first defender is not smart
@@adilthekingofheart No, because the finish is world class
2:54 - The dictionary definition of the word 'sublime' - (adjective) A Robbie Keane flick from an audacious angle against the arse.
So sad to see where city are today
Great memories, PUSB.
Shocker for Seaman.
Wow, 4 out of five of the goals were crackers. Keanes and Sukers goals were world class.
I'm an arsenal fan born and raised in Coventry
Shocker for spunky
I was there. When we were us.
