The comments definitely represent how good this movie is. I was blown away when I first saw it on how good it is. It deserves far more recognition than it actually gets.

The new Hell House that just dropped is probably one of the best horros I've watched in a very long time, it creeped me out and I never get creeped out

It's the subtly of this movie that messed with me...the ghoul appearing in the flashing lights, that damn clown appearing randomly. I loved it!!! So glad you took a chance to watch this. I totally understood the Mrs' reaction to this.

I love grave encounters some shitty CGI but great moments, my favorite is, "Why don't they leave the house." and that fails but in a unique way.
When I was selecting Sinister, I almost chose Grave Encounters.
‘Grave Encounters’ is just immaculate! Also, ‘Gonjiam Haunted Asylum’ was fantastic. Very similar to ‘Grave Encounters’, but just a tad bit better! I didn’t get to watch their reaction yet, so I’m excited! I would’ve voted, but unfortunately I can’t do the patreon stuff😭
Hell House LLC is one of my all time favorite horror films.... Right up there with "Host" (2020) and "Trick 'r Treat", (both very different vibes, but a great time to be had with each)
When that clown was on the bottom of the stairs I would have busted out one of the upstairs windows and never come back.
Hell House is easily in my top ten, and as a trilogy top 20, they're so good, another gem like Grave Encounters.
I have really enjoyed this whole franchise. The first was for sure the best until recently. Y’all absolutely NEED to watch the new Hell House Origins. It is amazing. It also gives a ton of backstory. It unsettled me some and thats saying something. I have not seen a horror movie that unsettled or scared me since i was about 7 or 8, I’m 38 now and watch a different horror movie every day to every other day. To watch Origins you only need to have seen this one. Something does happen in the third movie but its simple and its stated in Origins. They really really stepped it up with this new one. Great writing and story telling, great acting. Its actually a pretty in depth story which surprised me somewhat. Like i said, The Abaddon Hotel and Lake of Fire you don’t need to see to watch Origins, but i could not recommend Hell House LLC Origins: The Carmichael Manor enough. Glad y’all enjoyed this one. Great reaction. Love y’all’s channel.

Watched Hell House LLC Origins on Shudder yesterday. It was pretty good as well. I don't think I've seen part 3 yet though.
And part 3 had a satisfying conclusion

First watched this back in 2020 and it has become a yearly October watch. One of my favorite found footage horror films. You should also check out the two sequels. They are not as good as the original, but still pretty solid.
A prequel dropped this year that isn’t bad either.
The 4th is equal to the 1st, in my opinion.

I'm really getting to love this channel. Mr video having the facts and figures plus having the patience while Mrs video constantly talking and asking questions and giving her theories. Which is why this is a great reaction channel.✓✓✓ This movie is low budget and unnerving also the other follow ups are definitely worth watching! I'm not a patron yet but I do have a suggestion: Mrs video likes comedy with a bit of horror. So Exorcist 3 will be a treat. Great acting and professional filmed. It's a Classic that's got me outoff plenty of bad moods.. My Respect and Cheer's 🇬🇧

This is underrated imo - I love the Hell house films, I actually just watched the 4th one that has just been released too. So pleased you're reacting to it!
They recently announced they are working on a prequel to this movie.
New to the channel and was very pleasantly surprised to see this movie represented in the reaction community, as it seems pretty rare to find it. So, I am here to comment about it too, these months later. This movie (and the 2nd and 4th films in the franchise) is one of my favorite found footage horrors, and one of the films that has creeped me out the most over the past number of years. I watched this for the first time all alone, in a pitch black house and it made every shadowy corner look real suspect ha. I also agree that found footage just has an extra layer of realism to it (for the most part) that really connects with me. Thanks for this one and I'm enjoying flipping through the back catalog now.
The Houses October Built is another great Halloween movie and it’s a found footage as well. Really good

I'm not really one for found footage movies but decided to check it out. Something I noticed is that at least one blood marks showing someone was dragged goes into one of the walls. If it was me I either never would've stayed in there or pretty early would be "I've seen this movie, I'll sleep in the car" or find a local motel and stay there during the night.

I’m so excited you guys reacted to this movie. You’re only the 2nd channel I’ve seen react to this. I recommend watching the other two because they will answer the questions you have about the first movie like Alex’s behaviour and why they couldn’t leave and the Prequel just released on shudder two days ago which was sooooo good.
I highly suggest you watch it but it’s best to watch the 2nd and 3rd movies for context

Well Dweirdo I saw you asking for a reaction to this film in two different discords and I thought "I'm not locked into anything for November so lets make it happen."
At the end of the reaction when they said they were going to a haunted hospital, I totally would have hit them with Grave Encounters or Gonjiam if I knew, but oh well. December I am hitting them with a thriller set during winter that I don't see a single reaction to on youtube, just a handful of reviews. It has some horror elements, but I would put the film at 80% thriller, 20% horror.
I am excited for this reaction. Let's go.

I watched this for the first time this year as well. I really liked it, even if it stumbles a little at the end.
Is this a directors cut. I dont remember the basement floor blowing up. Great movie. I guess the new hell house llc is pretty good.

One of my fave horror films! So glad you reacted to this. The sequels aren't too bad either. While not as good as the first film, there's a story arc through all three films that's pretty interesting and concludes in a unique way. It's a great B movie trilogy.

I'm actually not a huge fan of found footage style movies but I put this on one night with my sister and I was thoroughly creeped out. It was actually shockingly good and a fun, creepy time. I'm so glad you guys liked it!
I actually worked at Waldorf Estate of FEAR, you can look it up! It’s actually where this movie was filmed! And they called it the abaddon in the movies!
Waldorf is also a regular haunted attraction all year round! Open in October!
They also just came out with the new movie called Hell House LLC:The Carmichael Movie!

i have to reccommend the film the 1990 " The Witches" its the first film where we get insight on the warning signs you're dealing with a witch and how to avoid them, I also wanna see the Mrs. Reaction to the scene where Angelica Houston does something that's the total pposite of a glow up. but super cool makeup at the same time.
I only watched a couple minutes of this video the first time I finish watching it later and it scared the heck out of me 😮

I love this one. The second and third ones are good but some people do not like them. The Carmichael Manor just came out and I loved it. Found footage horror movies are great if done right.

I actually preferred the original cut of this movie, as it omitted the painfully obvious CG portal in the basement, and let the viewer wonder what on earth actually happened down there.
And the entire trilogy is worth watching, though the third movie is more about closure from the first two than anything else.
There are quite a few of these movies in this franchise. In fact Shudder just released a prequel last month.

I actually like the 2nd one more. I think the 1st one is the best one as a stand alone movie, but the 2nd one doesn't have to draw out the setup. The hotel has been fed and it can just do stuff and draw people in. The 3rd one is ok but I appreciate it for wrapping up telling the whole story the filmmakers had set out to tell.
Chronicle is the best found footage horror film.A must -see.

Another spooky found footage movie I'd recommend is Lake Mungo. Think Twin Peaks but as a faux documentary.

Deathstream is also on Shudder which, in my opinion, is the best Found Footage film in recent years.
The execution I thought was pretty good. Decent effects. Kind of surprising how well they maintained the stream chat to look fairly real. The only real thing holding it back from greatness for me was the obnoxious lead. I get that it was the point of the film, but he didn't really feel like he grew much at all during the whole runtime. I'd give it a B- or a C+, somewhere around there.

A personal favorite of mine, with very good continuity and attention to detail. A lot of minor things end up paying off big time in later installments. 2 and 3 are solid but not as strong as the first one, and the newest one is my personal favorite after the original. Great reaction and hope you get to the sequels one day.

Every time they woke up in the middle of the night to explore my cheeks went together. Those friggin clowns turning to look!! This film is brilliant. The sequels aren’t so great. They explain away what made this one scary.

For anyone interested: i saw this doc called "Inside Monster House" on hulu, about this guy who ran these "survive your own horror movie" "tours" (he called them). Basically it was consent to non-consent type scenarios where people were trying to use the safe-word to stop the experience, but the owner (who's one sick mf) wouldn't stop.
Yeah but theres better stuff on youtube that exposes that sick individual, person should be thrown in jail for the sick thoughts he had
