This scene and the house party are the only two where you had the audience root for them to reconcile. Maybe feeling Rob’s just hit a low point, especially after their daughter died. Maybe he just took it too hard and society won’t let him grieve so he found it somewhere else. When he starts going back to Beth/Ann, you’re almost excited and feel sad for April even though she knew what she was walking into and kind of got what she deserved.
But then you find out his cheating is serial.
You find out he won’t stand out enough to stand up for others.
You find out he’s the reason their baby is dead and he gaslit his wife for years without remorse.
And suddenly you’re not rooting for them to reconcile anymore. This man is not sorry or redeemable.
And that’s why the show is called “Why women kill.”

Thanks, I would love to watch this movie but it's no longer on Netflix, so it's good to know some of the story. I absolutely love this actress, she plays this wonderful woman so well, and is as beautiful as she is warm and intelligent. And the clothes are magnificent 😍

Beth Ann was a loving and devoted wife. It’s shocking how much she put up with especially his gaslighting, manipulation AND cheating. The sadness and embarrassment on her face when she tried to connect with him but he rejected her. The pain from knowing that her marriage had been dead for years. It’s a lot to go through all alone and with no kids, to motivate you to live on, if you get a divorce.
Robs character is portrayed really well. Rob was emotionally unavailable for everyone and he could’ve be vulnerable with anyone whatsoever. He didn’t love anyone. He wouldn’t have treated his mistress well if he married her either.
Some men have deep emotional issues and attachment issues. They cannot be emotionally vulnerable or emotionally close to someone. They feel empty and try to escape their emptiness by searching for distractions such as drugs, marital affairs, etc.
Rob wanted the image of a professional man with a family and marriage that is working. It’s good for his ego. But his marriage had been dead for ages. It’s portrayed well because for some men, an event or memory triggers their emptiness and makes them spiral. In real life, had Rob been alive, he would have cheated again.
I really want to empathize with Rob because of how uptight his life seems but playing around with the feelings of the women around him makes him unredeemable for me. One mistake could be forgiven but something chronic like that is a choice.
And even at the end, when Beth Anne gave him a chance to repent, he still chose to lie through his teeth. He's just an all around AH. If he truly wanted to work on himself, he could have done it years ago.

My ex said that when he got out of school that he would be less stressed out and less mean to me all the time. He got out we bought a house. I did all of the housework had a job took care of. The animals took care of him was kind to him. Made friends for us and was extremely compassionate towards him. We didn’t work out

If a man can have two women, that makes him a Chad. Not condoning it, but if she wants him, because other women clearly do, she has to ignore it.
If she leaves him he'll be able to remarry within 2 years. Her, she'll probably end up single for life.
@@ekatrinya actually a lot of the times yeah, but they were also forced to stay and had to rely on the man because they weren’t allowed to have jobs or their own bank accounts without their HUSBANDS permission. If a woman got pregnant she was usually immediately fired from the job she had
@@ekatrinyaSometimes when two families have a shared interest and just society in general can cause pressure. Most of the time it’s abuse and humiliation that our laws are strict on the victim being able to show proof that abuse or humiliation has occurred. I know women from other countries have it worse but if you come to the States you have to show proof of abuse and infidelity. If you make false accusations about abuse you will lose your children. But, if you have pictures, police reports, recordings and videos of abuse you can get protection. Some people have connections with police officers and they try to take advantage of their victims but if you have evidence of abuse you could go to your local District Attorney’s office.

I think there’s several reasons. They’re poor/ they are bound to religion laws/ family pressure/ societal views/ unable to escape abuse/ want their kids to have a normal nuclear family/ retain their married status to prevent the mistress from being the main wife.
U just described Princess Diana and Beyonce. Marriage is complicated. I’m not saying divorce is bad, I’m saying people have reasons to stay in the marriage and you didn’t blame the source of the problem?
